March 23, 201610 yr 67. Dee Gordon 2015 rank: NR | 2016 fantasy rank: 14 2015 stats: .333 BA, .776 OPS, 88 runs, 58 SBs ESPN says: The reigning NL batting champ added his second stolen-base crown while pushing his combo of speed and contact hitting to unexpected heights. Gordon is more a classic 1970s-style leadoff man, a burner who makes great contact in early counts while beating grounders and lacing liners. Plus-plus speed is what makes that work for him. Add in substantially improved defense, and you've got an old-school asset doing good things by anybody's measure. -- Christina Kahrl, ESPN.com editor/Sweetspot blogger By the numbers: Gordon excelled last season by pounding the ball into the ground over and over. His 332 ground balls were the most in the majors (next was Ben Revere with 300), as were his 93 ground ball hits. Gordon hit .333 with 58 steals last season; the most recent player with a batting average at least that high and at least that many steals in a season was another Marlin: Luis Castillo in 2000. -- ESPN Stats & Information 19. Jose Fernandez 2015 rank: 39 | 2016 fantasy rank: 63 2015 stats: 11 GS, 6-1, 2.92 ERA, 79 Ks ESPN says: Don't expect anything less than pure heat from a fully healthy Fernandez in 2016, though that heat might be mixed with a more complete arsenal of pitches. The 23-year-old Fernandez will be even better this season, worrying less about being a flamethrower and more about finesse, and that should reduce his risk of injury and help him carry an unreliable Marlins rotation. The always fiery Fernandez will be a man on a mission, learning how to protect his surgically repaired arm while also competing for the National League Cy Young. -- Marly Rivera, ESPNDeportes.com By the numbers: Fernandez has missed a lot of time the past two seasons because of recovery from Tommy John surgery in 2014. In the 289 innings he has been able to pitch since his debut, he has a 2.40 ERA while striking out 29.2 percent of batters faced. Fernandez's splits at home are quite ridiculous, as he owns a 1.40 ERA and is undefeated in 26 career starts at Marlins Park. -- ESPN Stats & Information the Top 10 will be released tomorrow. I think it's a lock that Ichiro is in there.
March 23, 201610 yr As expected, those are both awful. Besides Tom Koehler what other marlins are missing?
March 23, 201610 yr According to David Samson, isn't Dee Gordon a top 5-10 player in all of baseball? He should phone Baseball Tonight and tell them they got it wrong.
March 23, 201610 yr Someone should, because he is. Bryce Harper, Mike Trout, Clayton Kershaw, Paul Goldschmidt, Buster Posey, Josh Donaldson, Manny Machado, our own Giancarlo Stanton, Anthony Rizzo, Andrew McCutchen, Nolan Arenado, Carlos Correa, Kris Bryant, AJ Pollock, holy shit the list goes on and on and on. Dee is a top two second baseman (he and Altuve make up the top two) but he's definitely not a top 10 overall player in baseball. Top ten most exciting? Probably. Top five fastest? Sure. But top ten overall? He wouldn't have signed for about $12 million per year if he were.

March 24, 201610 yr Gordon edges out Harper So if the Nats offered Harper for Dee straight up, you would say no?
March 24, 201610 yr I'm pretty sure it's not the same kind of fantasies you're thinking of. Hmmm... I'm at work googling pictures of "very young girls" and having a hard time find an appropriate picture to post for Admin
