Mychal Givens is a young arm who's pretty nasty. 1.80 ERA/1.73 FIP in 30 innings last year, will have a bigger role this year. Brian Matusz is a very good lefty specialist. Dylan Bundy was once one of the best SP prospects will now be in the pen. Failed starters with + stuff tend to make good relievers. Brad Brach has been a very good middle reliever for the Orioles for the past two years now. It's a very deep bullpen. The Royals and the Yankees are probably the only bullpens in the big leagues that are better.

The Royals and the Yankees are probably the only bullpens in the big leagues that are better. The back two are damn good. Brach is not anywhere nearly as good as Herrera is. The rest are a bunch of true question marks. Givens? prove it over a season. Matusz, lefty specialist, good for him, Royals dont have one nor need one, that kinda separates them from others. Bundy, is only in the pen because they have no choice. He hasnt proven to be anything since his surgery. I like their pen, but with a rotation as potentially bad as theirs, it wont really matter. Not to mention their corner outfield is ugh.
April 4, 201610 yr Do you think the Royals are going to be good this year? Like I said, I don't think their pen is quite as good as the Royals, but, as you just said, it's a good pen. So you're basically saying that they're the worst team in the AL because their rotation is going to be really bad, but I don't see the huge difference between their rotation and the Royals rotation. The Royals rotation is pretty bad. I just think saying worst team in the AL is a bit overboard. That's projecting them for 95+ losses pretty much. They were a .500 team last year and actually won the division the year before. I don't see how they've gotten so much worse. The worst team in the AL last year was the A's and, looking at their roster, I actually don't see why that would change. I think they're pretty bad again.

They play far superior defense also. I hate the Orioles staff. Especially with Gausman on the DL.
