when Stanton takes BP he should not be allowed to swing at all.  He should just stand still and watch where all these pitches - that he terribly wants to swing at - wind up.  Seems like he offers at an incredibly high % of pitches outside the strike zone.

Not even being sarcastic with this one, this Phillies team is pretty annoying. They have two players in their every day lineup that I'm thinking every team would love to have. Other than that, it's like facing the same annoying hitter over and over again. 

Good point. I'm watching this game and it's so obvious we're "better" than them and they have no reason for their success other than luck. Losing to them would be so annoying because it makes no sense.

He also misses the ones in the strike zone. He just isn't making contact, swinging late on almost everything.

It'd be impossible for any of us to do both of those things.

 

 

I said it before.  Bonds needs to throw pitches where STanton wants to swing and shouldn't.  Every time he swings at them, his teammates should be allowed to kick him in the balls.

Don't get me wrong, I think their pitching is pretty good, but there's no comparison between the two lineups. They've definitely been a pain in the ass to every team to start the year though.
