2016 Trade Deadline Thread

Featured Replies

So, Admin...  we gonna be good news bears or bad news bears after this trade?

There has to be something else going on. This trade doesn't improve the team or barely improves it.

What  do they have that could help us?

WTF YOU GOLF CLAP HIM AND BOO ME?  You must have forgotten where your bread (and other things) is buttered

HOW BOUT YOU TREAT ME ONCE IN AWHILE. IDK TAKE ME TO GO SEE HAMILTON.

We're always bad news bears to some ppl here

Yep, no matter what we do  :8_laughing: . I hope there's something else in the trade for us tho.

Cashner = TK

Rea = New 2 seamer Urena

Basically a lateral move, and not a move a contender makes to really try for the post season.

I don't disagree. If this is it definitely more of a "look! We tried" than anything else. Maybe cashner finally figures it out and we resign him.

On the flip side when your team is bereft of any prospects and continually trades draft picks this is the best they can get

I'm thinking they're just adding depth and hoping that it works out. That's really the only reason to add Rea. "Well, if one of our starters keep sucking, at least we have Rea." Or "if Rea sucks, whatever, maybe the next guy who sucks does better."
