I mean you have to assume Naylor is probably gone. Kolek isn't really an intriguing trade piece unless they also threw him into the deal.

Cashner is an absolute upgrade. He's better than what his numbers look like today. 

 

Don't know much about rea but I think this is his rookie year. 

 

 

Rea pitched last year as well but looking at his numbers, nothing special at all. Not an upgrade from what we currently have.

 

 

Rea under control til 2021. 

 

 

Don't look at his 6-16 record, look at all of his other numbers. With the exact same season he had in 2015, on a better team, Andrew Cashner wins 10-12 games.

I don't see the problem. Rea might not be special but he's under control and we got two starters in one trade. Gotta take chances because Urena Cosart Koehler is probably gonna blow back up soon and then people would have said we didn't acquire pitching when we had the chance. I'm ok with this albeit not ecstatic.
