July 29, 20169 yr Fuck bro I can't see the tweets where I am. Tell me what this says Cashner's last three starts (SF, STL, TOR) he's 1-0 w/ 2.55 ERA, 23 Ks, 3 BBs, 17 2/3 IP #Marlins
July 29, 20169 yr This resembles the Nick Johnson trade so much... I think we're all hoping there's more to come. We have nothing left to give though.

July 29, 20169 yr I wasn't expecting much from Naylor but to trade both him and Castillo for 10 starts from Andrew Cashner... And to think that we got Castillo and Flores from the Giants for Casey McGhee. LOL
July 29, 20169 yr I'm totally fine with the trade. Losing Luis sucks but it's a sellers market. I feel bad for you guys who thought a similar package of mediocrity would net anything real
July 29, 20169 yr Author Someone explain to me how this is a move a contender makes (assuming this is the only significant move). Didn't you say the season was over on Monday? Why are you even here?
July 29, 20169 yr Hey man don't forget Rea I didn't know much about him - guess he was a pretty high Pads prospect at one point. ML numbers haven't been good so far but at least he's controllable I guess.
July 29, 20169 yr Cashner has the stuff to look like an ace sometimes but he's been an enigma. Rea is just controllable depth. Maybe he'll turn into another Phelps or something. Rea don't have the velo to ever be Phelps. Cashner is basically a hope and prayer that his stuff finally translates
July 29, 20169 yr This resembles the Nick Johnson trade so much... I think we're all hoping there's more to come. We have nothing left to give though. Nick Johnson was awesome and the Marlins actually probably make the playoffs that year if he doesn't get hurt. This is very different.
July 29, 20169 yr Admin you need to get @MarlinsLou phone # and text that sucka to get in here. We need some fan graphs type of breakdown.
July 29, 20169 yr Overall I'm fine with it and we gave up pretty much what's expected to get a mediocre rental with upside. Very happy they didn't deal urena
July 29, 20169 yr If the deal is finalized then fuck yeah :1310_thumbsup_tone1: :1310_thumbsup_tone1: Naylor meh, this team is in the best position it's been in 10+ years, why not make moves now to win. Who knows what will happen in 3-5 years when Naylor is developed.

July 29, 20169 yr Type of trade you would expect Mike Hill to make. Naylor was jettisoned as we all knew would happen. Time to sign Bour to under market 7 yr deal. Hope Cashner seizes opportunity but as a 3 month rental, meh. In Shanghai saw Marlins on the tube this morning. Time to head to the Bund and celebrate this magnificent trade.
July 29, 20169 yr Nick Johnson was awesome and the Marlins actually probably make the playoffs that year if he doesn't get hurt. This is very different. I guess if you consider batting .279 w/ 2 HRs and an 890OPS "awesome" (I'll say his .477 OBP was decent) then these guys can potentially make you very happy!!
