Not sure what Miami announcers were saying because I was on Cardinals feed, but even though Cashner didn't have his best stuff today, he was told to not go for strikeouts until needed and to pitch to contact. Kind of like how they handle Jose. He's going to be good for us. Such a shame about Rea.

Jose definitely does not pitch to contact. Bet that was not Cashners mindset either. You don't pitch to contact when you throw 95+, you pitch to contact when you have a weak arm like Nicolino.
