Realmuto is hitting the ball well, but it would be nice if he started playing better defense.

Yea Ramos messed up. But the real fuck up was mattingly putting tazawa in the 8th. Tazawa hasn't looked good in any outing so far. That was idiotic. I want to further this by saying that when your starter throws 71 pitches through 6 he needs to come out for the 7th. Just bc we're supposed to have a super bullpen doesn't mean we need to only let pitchers go 5 or 6 every game regardless of score or pitch count.

I actually have a very good vibe to start the year despite the losses. First year in a while that we haven't started like 1-9 or some crap like that. Several players are hot, plenty of strong wins over good teams, the team has shown fight and resiliency and unity and has probably played over their heads to start. There's confidence there. The losses have sucked but I feel like we were so close to being 7-1 right now and the team looks like they know that too. I don't know how anyone can say there's bad vibes around this team now. This is as good of a first week as we've had since at least back when we were playing at Sun life.

I'm not even sure that we're better than the Braves on paper so I don't know if we should look down on them.
