August 22, 20187 yr They've begun selling 2019 season tickets and this gives us a much clearer view of some of the changes that are gonna be rolled out as far as being a season ticket holder. Obviously 2019 will be the first full season run by the new ownership so all the things being tested and transitioned through in 2018 will start coming into effect next year so this is worth a peek even if you aren't a season ticket holder. The website itself definitely feels fresh and new and I'll go ahead and post a few screenshots here so you guys can discuss it. If you'd like to see the full website you can go to https://marlinsenrollment.com/familia# One notable change off the bat is the changing of the term Fish Family to Marlins Members which I think is a bit odd and lacking but I can appreciate the change from Fish Family which was quirky and a bit cheesy or kiddie, it sounds like a catchphrase for an elementary school to me. Also the use of the term enrollment. Instead of "purchasing a ticket package" you're "enrolling in membership." These changes are just superficial vocabulary but I would love to know what they were thinking going this route. Anyways here's images of other more important things on the site... Apparently the earlier you sign up and the earlier you can pay you get better benefits and incentives. There are four levels of membership: MVP, All Star, Gold Glover, and Silver Slugger and each has a different level of benefits such as how much you save on concessions and mmerchandise. Here's a chart... Here's a list of benefits... A rewards system with points that you collect and redeem... Details on parking savings... Additional benefits that you choose to add to your membership, how many you can select depends on your level of membership... There's still full season, half season, and multiple 20 and 10 game packages to choose from, such as "the Sunday package" or "the Saturday package", all of which include Opening Day. And lastly payment plans include monthly over 12 months, over 5 months, and of course paying in full up front which also leads to greater incentives including savings immediately for the rest of the 2018 season even though you're buying for 2019 which is pretty nice. Reap the rewards from day one assuming you enroll before this season ends. I like this payment plan thing as the last time I was a season ticket holder I only remember two options, pay in full or pay in two half payments. This of course is more flexible. Thoughts? #FuckJeter?
August 22, 20187 yr Author Do members get playoff priority? Yes it's in the benefits chart it says Post Season Ticket Priority Rights.
August 22, 20187 yr yes it's in the benefits chart it says Post Season Ticket Priority Rights. See I should probably read before replying. This looks good, I like the perks.
August 22, 20187 yr Author See I should probably read before replying. This looks good, I like the perks. Going to the website gives more details too like when you click on the plus signs next to the benefits.
August 23, 20187 yr 90-95% of what you see here is identical to what has been offered in the past. Nothing really new. The purpose of the name change of fish family is the merging with the b2b due to the loss of personnel that quit. It's cheaper to combine though it also waters down the value of it.
August 23, 20187 yr They did lower at least some ticket prices. My two tickets were 20 a game in ‘17. They were raised to 21 for 18 - one reason I did not renew. I checked it out, and they lowered the tickets back to 19 a game.
August 23, 20187 yr Yes it's in the benefits chart it says Post Season Ticket Priority Rights. Lolololololololol
August 23, 20187 yr In other news, I now have an unobstructed view of Marlins park from my desk at work.
August 23, 20187 yr Yes it's in the benefits chart it says Post Season Ticket Priority Rights. I don't like how they used "x's" to indicate that you receive that benefit. Made me think you didn't get that at first. ---- When I first saw they were calling it "memberships", I thought they were doing what the A's did with you buying your guaranteed plan/seats, but you also have access to ALL remaining home games (in different, first come first serve seating areas). But after reading through it, I quickly realized it was just a name change from season tickets to "membership plans". I might sign up for a 10 game plan depending on the prices. --- Also, FWIW, apparently they're going to reconfigure some of the seats down toward the field (Presumably the ones above the dugout?), and have fewer, but nicer/more premium seats there.
August 23, 20187 yr and have fewer, but nicer/more premium seats there. Better be La-Z-Boy recliners. Otherwise #FuckJeter
August 23, 20187 yr lol Someone finally laughed damn. I was hoping people would go wild with that post and it was mostly ignored. I troll badly.
August 24, 20187 yr Also, FWIW, apparently they're going to reconfigure some of the seats down toward the field (Presumably the ones above the dugout?), and have fewer, but nicer/more premium seats there. Where did you hear this?
August 24, 20187 yr Where did you hear this? So there will nice plush and empty seats in view. Is it the thought that people want to go to see the Marlins and sit down low but didn't buy tickets because the seats weren't plush enough?
August 24, 20187 yr Where did you hear this? On another site. ticket holders are being moved, and a source said it was because they're reconfiguring the seats
August 24, 20187 yr So there will nice plush and empty seats in view. Is it the thought that people want to go to see the Marlins and sit down low but didn't buy tickets because the seats weren't plush enough? They want to charge more for those seats and make them more premium, so they're putting in better seats to justify charging more.
August 24, 20187 yr They want to charge more for those seats and make them more premium, so they're putting in better seats to justify charging more. I was being rhetorical, but it still begs the question-shouldn't they be winning first before expecting any mass demand for more expensive seats. I can see the demand being far less than even tepid and the net result a negative to those they moved.
August 25, 20187 yr Sooooooo does this mean the Marlins will still have orange as one of their colors and no change in the logo? I haven't been paying attention ? as moved to Tennessee. Basically only game I can watch is Atlanta so last two nights I have been able to watch. Not even the Yankees or Red Sox on their own stations are available here. I didn't know that Bour was traded as moved here on July 16th until I heard that recently. ?

August 25, 20187 yr They don't have the internet in Tennessee? Duh. They have the internet. The Florida sport channels are unavailable on DirectTV as well as the Yankees and Red Sox channels.. And it's too late in the season to pay for MLB.
