September 6, 20187 yr Not a bad idea, and for safety, just put the netting in front. This past year, they put a kids zone back behind the outfield, but it is a joke compared to other stadiums where kids can run on soft grass, have water shooting fountains, playground equip etc., but at Marlins Park it is a small area with nothing to do but climb on a few "animals". Billy shows up but is only available for about 1/2 inning and then he runs off to go back to the other stadium areas, leaving kids disappointed if time runs out to take a picture with Billy. Just a way to get young families back to the park and be able to bring the kids with something else to do if they are too young to really watch 3 hours of baseball. Yea that Billy play area definitely feels temporary. No way that lasts without growing.
September 6, 20187 yr They said a lot of ballpark enhancements are coming next season, I am sure there's a lot of things we haven't heard about yet.

They also said something about all of the food stands looking different... I'm very interested in this. It literally sounds like they're gonna upgrade and change all of the concessions.

Yeah, the kids area they put in this year is definitely just a makeshift, temporary thing to get something in for this season. I'm sure much bigger changes will happen this offseason. They also said something about all of the food stands looking different... I'm very interested in this. It literally sounds like they're gonna upgrade and change all of the concessions. That's a good thing......and PLEASE, can we keep half the menu screens on the food, and half on drinks, alternating with every other monitor, and NOT have all the monitors flashing back and forth between food and drinks all at the same time? I HATE having to stand there and wait for the screen to flash back to the food options in the middle of reading the menu.

September 6, 20187 yr I know it’s dumb but this also bothers me. It's not dumb at al.l.. it's a nuisance. It's not serious but it's a very valid concern.
September 7, 20187 yr Tear it down. It's some form of art, which reminds me of Loria. Not that I'm against art, but it's gaudy, not fitting for a US baseball stadium. Ship it to Barcelona for use as something artistic. Put it near the Gaudi architecture in that city. Just get it out of Miami.
September 8, 20187 yr Not sure why they are so against it. And they can’t just get rid of it because it was a government commissioned artwork so they will have to put it somewhere. Loria's ass seems like as fair of a spot as any.
