I like Lewis as a person, but I think he had enough chances as a starter until he shows something. I am glad to see they are going into this without him penciled in as a starter.

December 29, 20196 yr Tbh these offseason moves have put a lot of players who got significant playing time in limbo... Brinson, Ramirez, Dean, Wallach, maybe even Cooper. It probably sucks for those guys personally but it's also nice to know that our team isn't solely depending on that same crop of underachieving players. You know they could have stuck with that same group and said "well all these guys now have more experience under their belts... we expect more results from all of them... we will continue to give these guys all the opportunities to succeed at the major league level..."

December 31, 20196 yr Just waiting for more moves to come, even it's just a small move. BREAKING: Marlins GM Michael Hill moves his workspace from Office 226 to Office 230. When asked about the move, he replied, "there's a very important Marlins fan I needed to please, and he requested a small move, so I figured moving a few doors down would be good enough for now." CEO Derek Jeter was unavailable for comment directly but said in a statement provided by his agent: "We have the utmost respect and trust in Mr. Hill to perform his job admirably, and if he believes the best for him is to move into Office 230 (which was originally used for my six Tibetan cats), then I agree with him." It is yet unknown whether this move will be permanent or if this is only in the interim, but it may be long term if this move pushes General Manager Hill to sign more players.

I think the plan is the group we have now, one more free agent reliever to a major league contract, and throw in a few noteworthy non roster invites and figure out the best 8 from that bunch in the spring. Our bullpen isn't amazing but I think there's enough intriguing possibilities to pick a good group from. Spring training competition will be very important for this bunch though.
