7/24 Postgame Thread - Opening Day Victory!

Featured Replies

An OPENING DAY victory!

First time over .500 since August of 2017.

First Opening Day win since 2014.

First ROAD Opening Day win since 2007.

Aguilar dong. Alcantara looked ace-like. Good at bats through-out the game.

I like it. Let's win tomorrow!

Loving everyones approach at the plate. There aren't any stars in the lineup but there also aren't any bumbs (except maybe Diaz, who knows). Sandy looked like a stud too. Great game.

Anyone a little concerned about Villar? Looked kind of out of it. The 2-strike bunt, the boner in center field? Dude looked like he definitely had something on his mind.

I just thought about fallback if Isan keeps struggling.

Haven't had an opening day win in a while so that was nice. Season should have a very different feel with each game meaning much more.

He did swing on 3-0 and get a sac fly. My concern has been that he looks kind of flabby in the belly.

Anderson, Rojas, and maybe Aguilar would like a word.

What would happen if this team played as bad as last season and only win "57" games !?

We would go 57-3.

About what? 🤨

About there being no superstars in the lineup.  I think quite a few opponents would vouch for Rojas’ and Anderson’s immediate potential.

I like Miguel Rojas, but no one thinks he’s even a potential star.

Incorrect, but it’s not really important.

Kept ‘em under 19 runs.  Moral victories do exist.

Edit: Wrong postgame thread.
