Hoyt came up big last year with a good season, but the writing was on the wall with him not making the OD roster. Sucks that we are losing him, but at least he will get a chance to play in the big leagues in Anaheim.

Frees up a roster spot, no? Gotta wonder if something else is in the works.

Maybe a surprise showing of #BenderMania?

Just make no any sense to get rid of Hoyt, he got one minor league option left …of course if the money acquired were used to pay the employees of this organization …

I still think that roster spot is going to pay dividends. Also, I think there's something to be said for doing the right thing for the player. Hoyt is 34 or something and was pretty good last year. He should be playing in the bigs.

Im all for it. His FIP numbers hinted at some major over performance and regression possibilities. If it means we get to have Bender on the team who looks like the real deal, then it’s worth it. He and Pop should definitely be on the team.

Maybe Bender gets called up after the TB series.  Campbell, if released goes back to TB so maybe after that series it could happen.
