March 22, 20224 yr I like this in a vacuum, just seems a little strange with the roster makeup right now. Soler's 2019 is so great you want to drool, yet nearly every other season is just.... good? Just feels like they missed out on a main target and felt like they had to make another splash somewhere. I don't love him in the outfield and I'm already sort of wary with Garcia now out there too. And if he's going to DH then you've got both Soler/Cooper/Aguilar all spitting 1B/DH? With Cooper's injury history I suppose that works. I'd still love to see what a full season of at-bats looks like for Cooper. Just hope that Soler keeps that 2nd half of 2021 going. He's looked freakishly good at times so it's a good bet. Can't have too many good bats. I do like the contract too.

As you point out, Coop is hurt so much, I don't have a problem layering to protect for the inevitable Coop injury.

The only problem with Garcia and Soler are, what do they do with Bleday and Burdick if both are kept and light the world on fire for 2 months in AAA to start the year? But let's not get annoyed with good problems.
March 22, 20224 yr Lets see what this brings - Soler has the power but we'll see if he has the consistency.
