Right now, I’m fairly firm in the “NO” category, with far less confidence of it happening after this last offseason. they were in the same position this past offseason where they could have done everything on your list very easily but did the hodgepodge cheap route as always, and who would’ve known (EVERYBODY EXCEPT THE FO APPARENTLY), we’re right in the same position…

He was a 2 WAR player last year and is 1.9 in 34 games. Huge jump maybe here 2 - The pitching is a step forward. The WAR isn't tracking it yet, but they have moved from 11th to 6th in era (with skeptical defensive choices). A step forward for sure, especially if Luzardo is for real and Rogers stops tipping pitches. 3 - Pitching prospects a year closer to the bigs, causing a major positive depth scenario 4 - The pandemic will really be over next year when all kids can be boosted by opening day. This matters to many So it's the same team sort of, but those changes may tip the scale for Bruce. I don't have my hopes up, but you never know. This team is built to win if they spend $110m next year. For sure.

Sure the team will likely end up being better than last year record wise (not hard to do), but not where it needs to be, and everyone is at the point of not caring

That has been a very pleasant surprise.

That has been a very pleasant surprise. Well regardless, improvement overall was projected around the roster and it needed more to complement that but they took the half-measure approach.

But you're right - some vision was needed and that's a problem in itself this didn't happen this offseason, but there is some sliver of hope maybe, just maybe, Bruce sees whats happening and gets the upgrades are in fact actually needed.
