I wouldn't say handed but the league led the design process and the Marlins chose from what was presented to them. Handed sounds like the Marlins didn't have any input or choices and I think that wrongly takes the blame off the Marlins for some of the poorer decisions like the illegible black jerseys and the minimal use of blue. The Marlins could have taken what was given and then asked for certain things as well.

I still hate our current uniforms and as such haven't bought a single stitch of clothing with the current design on it. I didn't like the Loria ones either but they at least grew on me after awhile. I will always love the teal ones though

Absolutely hate the black jerseys because the other colors don't really stand out. Don't like anything with red on it -caliente or otherwise. I'm not real fond of that shade of blue either tbh.
