Run differential is stupid. I mean I guess it's ok. But as you said earlier, all that matters at the end of the season is W/L. When people look back at the Marlins 2003 season, all that matters is that they were 91-71 that season and won the WS, no one gives a shit about what their run differential was that year or any other WS winner since then. I mean there will always be some nerds with too much time on their hands who still have the Yankees run differential from 2009 memorized. But in general. Who cares?

It's a stat. It says a lot about a team's production and successes over a whole season. It's also a good stat to look at in retrospect. But it's also "just" a stat. It doesn't decide the individual games. Can't stand how many use any stat as a guarantee of what's gonna happen in a game. Early this season people literally said there was no reason to watch the Marlins because their run differential says they won't be any good. No matter what happens next can you imagine not going along for this ride so far just because someone decided in April that this team had no chance? 

Good thing we started the LH hitting Wendle over Amaya.  Amaya couldn't have K 3 times against a rightie.   LOL

If the Marlins offense wants to drive to a playoff chase this season, they will have to prevent Stallings from slowing them down.

The run differential simps make it seem like the season is one continous scoreboard that doesn't reset to 0-0 before each ballgame.
