Marlins social media has really been pushing for people to start coming out. Normally I'd laugh at that but it's warranted and probably worth the push now. And tbh, in this day and age, a little social media push is a fair way to do things and it probably works at least to an extent. Team president even made a plea for bigger crowds and for people to start spreading the word of their recent successes.

Pretty sure Marlins social media have been pushing people to come out since social media was invented.. Wonder why it hasn't worked like 95% of the time?

Right. But my original point is that winning games is at the root of all of this. That’s the point I’ve been making all this time. Without being on fire as they have the past 3 weeks, there would be no extra push. But honestly it’s because the Marlins are trending and buzzing right now around town. So people will show up to see what the fuss is about. So again I’ll say, the only thing that will bring people out is winning a lot of games.

.400 BA of all singles still makes for a solid OPS. And Luis has 18 extra base hits.

Yeah, I just tuned in and heard the crowd on Arraez's 5th hit and I was surprised how loud the applause was considering it's a Monday night.

 

I think we've all said winning will cure all.  The signing a big name itself won't do, to your point, but theoretically the big name helps them win.

 

Hopefully they can keep this up, and hopefully people do start/continue to come out.

 

I'm going to work on updating the attendance charts I made and compare it to last year.  I'm quite interested to see the comparison.
