2027 I can see it, set up Nicely. This year still more holes than a @Das Texan famous Friday night jamboree and don’t see it unless they make more especially with pitching. Here’s hoping though!

There is no baseball in 2027.

They’re gonna do one? Says who? and it’s too late for that

That would be the reason for the lockout.

Owners and players seem to be hardlined on it, obviously in opposing directions.

I keep hearing that whats the issue?

If there is a lockout, I hope the owners stick to their guns this time. These contracts are out of hand.

It’s not if. It’s when, and how long

I think it has to happen, unfortunately. The players, and agents need to be reigned in. They could have broke the union with the 90's strike and they lost the nerve at the last minute.

What the dodgers are doing is nuts and also Friedman is a genius. But what the marlins are doing also nuts in opposite end.

It's a fucked world when the fans JUST might be rooting for the owners in a work stoppage. Outside of 5 teams, the bottom 25 enter every season with little to no hope.

Yeah, I agree. There has to be a Cap and a Floor. There have to be consequences for not spending their revenue sharing money at the very least.

Agreed. A Cap&Floor system is the way MLB needs to go. Players get paid. The game has a better chance of being balanced for the fans that aren't in the biggest markets. Owners very likely have the valuation of their teams go up.

I saw some stat that parity in mlb is much higher than nfl. Couple that with dodgers barely won the last 2 WS and blue jays should were the better team.

I do think the current incantation of dodgers are way to powerful and don’t see how they done win it all again unless some disaster happens. Theres a rumor they’re going after peralata too.

the issue is that in the last 20 years, almost no team that has spent in the top half of the league has won the WS. the only ones that have which if I recall is the first Astros win and KC win, they were only one or two spots away from the top half in spending. the bottom half never wins

Was this supposed to say bottom half?
