The Official Pudge Thread

Featured Replies

Important Question.....

Why is there an official thread to talk about a greedy former marlin catcher who accused the organization of a firesale, wants WAY too much money, and has a statue of himself? I don't deem a greedy man all about the money who'd rather play for the tigers than the marlins just because he got 4 for 10 mill per instead of 3 for 8 mill per worthy of having his own thread.

But as I often say, that's just my opinion, or in this case, just my question.....

Another one of these? Sheesh.

there really is NO chance. Not slight or anything else. There is more chance that Andre Dawson will suit up for the Marlins and play left field than Pudge returning. The money isn't there. Pudge isn't going to sit out of spring training, praying. It's splitting hairs for no reason. The posts comparing this to Vlad are absolutely correct. Misinformation compounding itself and taking on its own life form. By RULE is there a chance? Well, BY RULE, if a player that fits the bill, like Pudge, waits til May 1 then he can "negotiate" with his former team. That's a very general topic. This has been twisted to Pudge saying he wants to return. To Pudge doing secret negotiations with Beinfest on the plane to Washington. Wonder how those secret talks went considering everyone's families were there and they all flew up on the team plane, and didn't spend a ton of time in DC. But I guess, Beinfest was zeroed in on spending all his time with Pudge, negotiating an eye wink deal while Pudge's wife was talking to Beinfest's wife. The theories about this are comical. Yet, I will be told there is a "slight chance" or a "possibility" that Pudge will be back.

Like there was "no" chance the Marlins were going to win the World Series?

Another one of these? Sheesh. Yes. I started it. It's so much easier this way.

We don't need an official Pudge thread :confused

I think we did. It's not an issue anyway. I think it's better so all the Pudge threads with basically the same thing in them don't flood the forum.

No need to pin this one. He's going to be bashed each time a new "Pudge" article is printed anyway.

If we get pudge back, The NL East better get prepared!

Pudge just gives us that 3rd bat in the lineup along with the great defense and Team Leadership.

I've shot down this silly quote in earlier posts. To compare Pudge NOT returning to the Marlins winning the World Series is stupid and reveals a serious lack of intelligence to the facts. Last year, Pudge was ON the team. So were the other key players to win it all. That has ZERO, ZILTCH, NADA to do with this situation. Pudge is NOT in the budget. Pudge is NOT in the plans. Pudge will NOT wait til May 1 to sign, giving up spring training. The Marlins DO NOT have the money to sign Pudge in May unless Pudge signs for under 4 mil. Get over this pipe dream. It isn't apples and oranges when compared to winning it all. Foremost, getting the stadium done is MUCH more important than Pudge and his greed. I'm sure a simpleton like you will repeat your lame quote again. You seem to have ADD.

Let it drop. There are no IFs. Pudge is gone. He made his own bed and we have Castro and Redmond. The NL East STILL better watch out.

Repeatin, if you believe rudeness will accomplish anything here you're mistaken. And your boorishness is not helping your argument regardless of the validity of your position.

For the record, there's no "T" in zilch. Nada, none, zero.

Validity of the argument wins the support. Notice how few counter attack my facts. Worry more about the Marlins getting a new stadium and less about Pudge and misspelled words. Your arguments make ZILCH sense. You know the bottom line of what I say is true. In the grand scheme of things, Pudge is not important. Getting the stadium and raising season tickets is. If you were so convincing in your arguments and actually got more fans to attend games when Pudge was here, then the team would have been in better position to bring Pudge back. I understand why you are so picky on the word ZILCH, because you offer ZILCH to this message board in your responses. You are LAMEEEEEEEE

You have no facts.

You have an opinion and nothing more. Your rude personal attacks, your conviction that you alone are 100% right undermine your argument and are very telling about how insecure a person you really are.

But then most narcissists are.

Support for what? What is you problem? Few care about your arguments and your personal attacks, name calling and rudeness.

What do you get so excited when someone say "I hope we get Pudge back"? It is not like Loria and Beinfest are surfing the web for opinions on what to do. btw, We aren't part of the FO, so concentrating on Stadium Talk and season tickets sale is not going to get us a stadium or more season tickets.

whip out the ban stick too Admin. No wait, use Das's ban stick, I hear he just got it back from the shilacking shop

No one counters your points because you aren't worth it. Simple as that. Don't you have a bad article to go write or something?
