Tom Brady Might Miss Next Season
Heard on ESPN that he is way behind on his rehad and his tendons are not attaching the way they should.... Also said was that he has alot of scar tissue in there that if taken out it might mess with the surgery they did and would make him miss another year because he would have to start all over again...

Red Sox sign Penny and Bard

Joe Nelson signs with Rays
Good for him.... I was hoping he would come back cause he was solid.... I think our pen will miss him... I think he's a smart pitcher and will be fine in the AL.... And to the haters in here.... c'mon ...all he did is have a great season for "your" team... Just because he had one good season in 14 years of professional baseball doesn't mean that we are supposed to act like he is the greatest thing. I'm not saying he's the greatest....but if u do a good job like he did, u deserve a raise..

This guy is one of the best hitters of all-time and he's still out there like if he's got the plauge or something... Mr.Loria you let us down last season, why not give us the Marlins faithful a Christmas gift to remember... It wouldnt take alot right now to get him (except maybe for us) but we should really try to get this guy right now,he is exactly what our line-up needs.... Get it done Loria...

Teixeira signs with Yankees
while I'm glad Teixeria is not a Nat, seriously, the Yankees have to stop this, I really thing this is bad for the parody of the league. Why? I'm sick & tired of people blaming the Yankees for everything. It's not the Yankees fault that they're spending their money on big-time players. This doesn't guarantee sh*t, either. What did the highest payroll lead them to last year? Every organization has a philosophy, and if this is the Yankees philosophy...so be it. They're not breaking any rules. They pay revenue sharing. They're one of two teams paying $30 million in luxury tax. Loria's probably getting more money from the Yankees than he's spending on his current team. How about that being bad for the "parody" of the league? :notworthy

Teixeira signs with Yankees
Nats up there offer.... MASN Online is reporting that the Washington Nationals have "sweetened their proposal" to switch-hitting first baseman Mark Teixeira, citing "multiple sources." The Web site says the Nats are offering the 28-year-old an eight-year deal worth anywhere between $178 and $184 million. Previously, Washington was said to have offered an eight-year, $160 million deal. The site says Washington is willing to "go nine years ? and there's been talk of 10," which moves very close to agent Scott Boras' early target of 10 years, $200 million With the Angels pulling their offer and no concrete offer from the Yankees having been reported, the Nationals ? if the report holds true ? could be making some serious strides in acquiring the Severna Park, Md., native with these developments. The Red Sox offer has been reported to be at eight years between $165 and $180 million, with the Orioles extending a reported seven-year deal between $140 and $150 million. Source: MLB.com Now we'll see if its about wins or money....

Adam Walsh Murder finally solved.
HOLLYWOOD, Fla. - A serial killer who died more than a decade ago is the person who decapitated the 6-year-old son of "America's Most Wanted" host John Walsh in 1981, Florida police said Tuesday. The announcement brought to a close a case that has haunted the Walsh family for more than two decades, launched the television show about the nation's most notorious criminals and inspired changes in how authorities search for missing children. "Who could take a 6-year-old and murder and decapitate him? Who?" John Walsh said at Tuesday's news conference. "We needed to know. We needed to know. And today we know. The not knowing has been a torture, but that journey's over." Story continues below ↓ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- advertisement | your ad here -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Walsh's wife, Reve, at one point placed a small photo of their son on the podium. Suspect made deathbed confession The suspect, Ottis Toole, had twice confessed to killing the child, but later recanted. He claimed responsibility for hundreds of murders, but police determined most of the confessions were lies. Toole's niece told the boy's father, John Walsh, her uncle confessed on his deathbed in prison that he killed Adam. Police said Toole was long the prime suspect in the case and that they had conclusively linked him the killing. They declined to be specific about their evidence and noted they had no DNA proof of the crime, but said an extensive review of the case file pointed only to Toole, as John Wash long contended. "Our agency has devoted an inordinate amount of time seeking leads to other potential perpetrators rather than emphasizing Ottis Toole as our primary suspect," said Hollywood Police Chief Chadwick Wagner. "Ottis Toole has continued to be our only real suspect." Wagner acknowledged numerous missteps in the investigation and apologized to the Walshes. "I have no doubt," John Walsh said. "I've never had any doubt." Investigation long criticized by Walshes Many names have been mentioned in connection to the case in the years since the killing, including serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, but Toole's has persistently nagged detectives. John Walsh has long said he believed the drifter was responsible, saying investigators found at Toole's home in Jacksonville a pair of green shorts and a sandal similar to what Adam was wearing. The Walshes long ago derided the investigation as botched. Still, he praised the Hollywood police department for closing the case. "This is not to look back and point fingers, but it is to let it rest," he said. Adam Walsh went missing from a Hollywood mall on July 27, 1981. Fishermen discovered his severed head in a canal 120 miles away two weeks later. The rest of his body was never found. Authorities made a series of crucial errors, losing the bloodstained carpeting in Toole's car ? preventing DNA testing ? and the car itself. It was a week after the boy's disappearance before the FBI got involved. "So many mistakes were made," John Walsh said in 1997, upon the release of his book "Tears of Rage," which harshly criticized the Hollywood Police Department's work on the case. "It was shocking, inexcusable and heartbreaking." Major advances in searching for missing children For all that went wrong in the probe, the case contributed to massive advances in police searches for missing youngsters and a notable shift in the view parents and children hold of the world. Adam's death, and his father's subsequent activism on his behalf, helped put faces on milk cartons, shopping bags and mailbox fliers, started fingerprinting programs and increased security at schools and stores. It spurred the creation of missing persons units at every large police department. It also prompted national legislation to create a national center, database and toll-free line devoted to missing children, and led to the start of "America's Most Wanted," which brought those cases into millions of homes. What it also did, said Mount Holyoke College sociologist and criminologist Richard Moran, is make children and adults alike exponentially more afraid. "He ended up really producing a generation of cautious and afraid kids who view all adults and strangers as a threat to them and it made parents extremely paranoid about the safety of their children," Moran said. This happened when i was 4-5 years and i have never 4gotten cause he played ball in some of the same parks that i did and remember playing against him and then us hearing later about what had happened to him. It was horrible,i always knew it was that P.O.S. Ottis Toole,i hope he's burning in hell. After this happened i never walked away from my parents when we went somewhere.... You can finally rest in peace Adam...

Josh Hamilton
Crappy. I hope players don't start dropping out this time like they did last time. To be a true WBC, players should be willing to participate. I'm looking forward to seeing top notch players representing their countries this time. I agree, i think some guys just dont know what the WBC is all about... The best players for every country should be killing each other to get a spot to represent there country's.... Its about pride,if i were a MLBP i would be first in line to play in the WBC...

Will the World end in 2012?
On December 21, 2012 the Mayan Calender states the world will end after the Winter Solistace. I was dicussing this in class and i think its a load of bull and theres not really enough evidence but you know how some people get. What do you guys think, and why? correction, the Mayan calendar does not say the world will "end" in 2012, but the calendar itself simply ends which people have taken to believe it is the end of the world. heres my theory. whoever was writing the calendar simply did not feel like writing anymore and thus stopped. the world is not going to end. :thumbup ...this is what i think happened..... Wait wait be quiet he's gonna say something..... Guy writing the calender- I'm pretty tired, think i'll go home now.....

Burnett signs with Yanks
Awesome.... Yankee's getting it done.... Hopefully one day when Loria gets snipered and we get an owner with deep pockets we'll be able to go after top notch players... In what world do you live in where AJ Burnett is a "top notch" player :lol The dude isn't even that good, and he has had multiple injury problems. If it were for a lot less money, it wouldn't be so bad. But players like A.J. Burnett should not be making nearly 17 million per. It's a horrible signing. I live in a world were the guy won 17 games... Also yea he's been hurt, but maybe he's over it. With the offense the Yankee's have he wont have to try to pitch a shutout everytime out and burn himself out. I also live in a world were just cause you hate the Yankee's it doesnt mean its a bad move. I piss on the Red Sox and everything about them but if they would have signed A.J. i would have been pissed cause its a good move. :lol @ you using wins as a barometer for talent. While I do hate the Yankees, I won't say a move is stupid just because it was done by them. The CC signing was great because he is an excellent pitcher--one of the best in the game. A.J. Burnett is coming off a year in which he had an ERA of 4.08, an ERA+ of 105, a WPA of 0.35, and a PRAA of -1, all of which are incredibly average. His career numbers havn't ventured very far from these, either. It's a stupid signing. Then for who would have it been smart? Dumb would have been letting him go to another team and getting owned by him again...
