Never saw the reason why Cosart never made it to the Arizona Fall League as planned to get more work in. Maybe this explains it.

We went through April and May with Salty and Morse, and Yelich batting under .200. Now we have JT, Bour and Yelich back to normal. Quite a difference. No need to tinker with the starting lineup for next year. Just need starting pitching and some depth.

I love Gordon as well. But, it's an amazing stat that Dietrich, for example, has an OBP 13 points higher than Dee's. But, back to my original post. It's really about not having our best starting lineup for even one game this year (substituting Bour for Morse and Realmuto for Salty). I would love to see what that lineup could do. We will probably have to wait until next year to see. And although I like Dietrich on the team, and we need to find playing time for him, let's not write off Ozuna just yet after one bad half of a year.

Get back to me when Dietrich hits 20 HR, bats in 80+ and plays gold glove level outfield!

I prefer Bour/Dietrich as well. Just don't know if they will go that route. Both of those guys can continue to get at bats in AAA.

They have four or five bench spots depending on how many pitchers they carry. I would think they need to go with five bench spots and carry 12 pitchers. Mathis and Suzuki are locks. I think Baker is as well because of his contract. That leaves two spots. I think it's Solano and Valdespin based on versatility. Love the starting lineup, but, our late inning pinch hitting options are going to be brutal.

How was Eovaldi's velocity today? He was unhittable when he was hitting upper 90's for two games in a row against the Reds. His last game against the Cardinals he was back to the mid 90's and got hit pretty hard.

Is it just me or has Brett Butler been stopping every runner rounding third with less than two outs. Today Ozuna blew threw the stop sign and scored standing up.

I'm getting pretty tired of seeing Stanton strike out on breaking balls low and outside. He's trying to pull everything,. It would seem to be such an easy correction to take the ball to right field like he did earlier in the year.

I felt and still feel that Wolf and Slowey had no business on a major league roster. Glad they are gone. But, now what do we do with Turner and Desclafani? I'm assuming the latter can go back to the minors. But, who do we replace him with? Turner's numbers are miind-boggling. Something like 77 hits in 53 innings. I doubt there are worse numbers in the majors. But, not ready to give up on him yet. Need to keep him stashed in the bullpen. We need a 5th starter. And we need to skip the 5th starter whenever we have an off day.
