  1. Pitcher Ricky Nolasco, the highest-paid player left on the Miami Marlins' roster after a series of moves that have gutted the team's payroll, wants to be traded, his agent told ESPN Monday. http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/8706991/ricky-nolasco-asks-trade-gutted-miami-marlins-agent-says
  2. Next years motto: "If we're gonna lose anyway, lose cheap".
  3. Was sorta surprised Hanley called the players only team meeting yesterday. Sounded like he spoke up and players listened. Really like the sound of it. I watched the Giants on The Franchise last season, but I can't remember if they showed any player only team meetings. Man, I hope they show this one after that slide.
  4. I bet this kid hates the Heat (go kid! haha) and Lebron more then you hate Hanley. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjIfrQqABl0
  5. I voted for other which goes to dancing girl.
  6. Was Hanley running hard out of the box or did he (I did too) think it was out and then hustled to try for the double?
  7. Holy crap that's a lot of different colored hats. I wish you could buy half the stuff they have at the stadium store online. Does anyone know if I can park for free in the garages if I wanna go to the stadium store on an off day? That photo of the hats is NOT at the stadium store -- they don't have other teams' stuff, let alone football helmets... It has to be Lids or some other outside store. "Marlins" needs to be more attentive when posting these. I knew that picture wasn't taken at the stadium (very obvious as you explained)...I posted it to show people all the variety of different hats you could buy as there's a ton of stuff you just can't buy at the stadium. If you look through the thread you'll find a bunch of other pics of things which are (currently at least) not being sold at the stadium. I guess you could say the pics have nothing to do with the stadium if they're not being sold there...but honestly, who cares? (now everyone does) Any idea where specifically that pic was taken?
  8. Or, you could choose not to check this thread on your phone.
  9. Think FSN needs to start doing a PIP window w the homerun celebration going off when Hanley's running around the bases. I want to see the entire thing, rather then what they show of it (at a bad angle too).
  10. That looks frakin' AWESOME! But only a 1/2 hour? Come on man.
  11. On top of the Clevelander...great view. Which section is that?
  12. Well he seems to fit the profile of every other closer the Marlins have had over the years.
  13. It's raining here in Boynton. No more rain delays!!!
  14. I thought I heard them say yesterday the game was blacked out (locally) cause of the NHL playoffs.
  15. That is really cool. Love how you can zoom in to see everyone. Makes me wished I was there just to be in that photo!
  16. i literally have never gotten out of a stadium/arena more easily than i did for tonight's game. i couldn't believe it. slid right out of the parking lot (which was a block away from the ballpark) and didn't hit any traffic. the trick is to avoid the dolphin expressway and head straight to 95. What route did you take to get to 95? Sounds like there was traffic on the 836, so this might be a better route to take.
  17. There were some pretty good maps in Sunday's PBP on parking and getting to and from the park. I am seriously considering parking at the Civic Center and taking the trolley right now. I think that will end up being the best option. Is that article online anywhere? I can't seem to find it on their site.
  18. The park looked gorgeous. It was really nice. The AC was great! I was hoping the roof would be open, but I can understand why they had it closed since it was starting to get hot out. Didn't see where that nice food was being offered in those pics yesterday, we just went to the concessions in the main walk way. A friend got the nachos, prezel, burger and fries and I got the chicken fingers and it was all pretty good. Def a step up from that crap at Dolphins stadium. The wifi seemed a bit buggy. If I'd put the phone to sleep, you'd have to sign on again. That was annoying. Hope they fix that. Can't wait to see how the aquariums look on TV. I really couldn't tell from where I was sitting, but they did look nice. I agree with most of you wished the outfield wall was a more darker green. The scroeboards all looked great. Getting there was a breeze. It took us an hour and 2 minutes from Boynton Beach vs 45+ to the Dolphins stadium. Getting in was no problem, we left around 10:30. Getting out was a different story. They blocked off NW 7th ave going east and didn't really have any signs to get back onto the Dolphin expressway. I'd imagine most of the people are heading back to 95 to head home, so signs if they're going to block NW 7th off would be helpful. There were 2 accidents that held us up, which took an hour and 35 minutes so that sucked. But overall really liked it and I plan to go back for more games.
