If This Happens I Might Not Be Heard From Again
Cano, Navarro, Halsey, and Sardinha is who the Yankees will try to trade for a pitcher. All of whom are having solid seasons in the minors. In fact the Yankees recently moved Robinson Cano to AAA to try and show he's ready for the big leagues. Last I saw Cano was hitting around 800 after 3 games. But, 2B is packed in the desert...So they obviously arent moving him for Johnson...But the A's have a hole there... Zito to the Bronx? :whistle

A little? How about vastly bigger?

Breaking Yankees News!!!!
Yeah 3 weeks is the thing we're hearing. A local radio host close to the situation thinks that him starting the year in CF is 50/50. Remember Curt Schilling pitched 2 weeks after the exact some surgery.

Bye Bye Van Horn
Exactly... I dont think this makes much sense at all. Why would either team mess with chemistry.Theyve been doing so well.

Arod now a Yankee
So because it wasnt needed its dumb? As long as the Yankees improve, how the hell is it dumb for them? Explain.

Arod now a Yankee
I doubt Contreras is really part of the deal. With the uncertainty of the pitching rotation (Kevin Brown, Jose Contreras, Mike Mussina, Jon Lieber, and Vasquez) I doubt they'd trade away one of their five starters. source: mlb.com "Rodriguez to the Bronx in exchange for second baseman Alfonso Soriano and a minor-league pitcher." Lets just stop the talk of contreras, soriano, and navarro right here...THATS NOT THE TRADE. It's A-Rod for Soriano and most likely, Danny Borrell. Stop the madness please!

Arod now a Yankee
Soriano said that we were getting the worse of the deal when speaking of the deal including Dioneer Navarro and Jose Contreras. Which I agree with, it would be a bad deal for the yankees. Soriano and Danny Borrell for Rodriguez? I think of you as a pretty level headed fan usually...But, If you dont think this helps the Yankees, your just being ignorant.

Arod now a Yankee
Seems like it's going to be a: Soriano, Contreras, Navarro (the best Yank prospect) for A-Rod. The Post reports... The last I heard was actually: Soriano and Danny Borrell for A-Rod -- This was less than a minute ago.

Arod now a Yankee
George's ego gets in the way and Texas ends up with the best possible deal. I'm confident, A-Rod is going to be A Junior Griffey like deal, maybe not involving injuries but A-Rod disappoints, doesn't mesh while Soriano, wins an MVP down the road(keyword). Good for Texas and somewhat good for The AL East because I don't see how Giami, Jeter and A Rod mesh. It sounds good but they have yet to play a game. Should be intresting. Just like Payton, Shaq, Mailman weren't going to mesh? They did fine, so will the yanks yup yup Jeter and A-Rod are very close friends... And either way...Why should either of them care? Wouldnt you embrace someone who was going to win you a championship. Anyone who thinks this doesnt help the Yankees is talking out there ass due to hatred. Anytime you can get the best player in the game you take it. The original Jose Contreras, Dioneer Navarro, and Alfonso Soriano for A-Rod deal was favoring Texas...But trading Soriano and Danny Borrell for Alex Rodriguez? Come now...Dont be stupid. Just look at the OPS (the most important stat in baseball)... A-Rod OPS: 996 Soriano OPS:863 This deal works out for both sides, period. Dont let your homer goggles oversee this.

Yankees sign Tyler Houston, 3rd baseman
oh JOY yanks are screwed unless Cashman can work a nice deal... Surely you jest. The best lineup in baseball is screwed because they lost their underachieving, ninth in the lineup, 3rd baseman. Man, that gave me a good laugh. Ah, Keep up the good work KJC.

L.Castillo,not so fast.
Well, if Luis becomes a Yankee, what are they going to do with Soriano? Alfonso would go to CF, allowing the team to finally DH Williams. They would then most likely trade Johnson. Soriano will most definately be traded before Nick Johnson...Johnson is possibly the best pure hitter on the Yankees and is only going to get better. If anyone is moved in the offseason it will be Soriano, not Nick. (BTW--If he does get traded, Im going with him )

off to the Bronx we go! Bring it on.

Clemens is out of breath AND solid contact by Lee. That 95 MPH fastball didnt make him look out of breath...
-
Marlins vs Yankees---8:00pm---at the PRO
That ball was way too lightly hit to be turned into a double play. I dont care if Ozzie Smith is playing Shortstop. Im taking nothing away from A-Gon, it was a nice play as I said. But he wouldnt have had him, had he been running.
-
Marlins vs Yankees---8:00pm---at the PRO
Ive met him too, and he never rubbed off on me that way... Exactly where did you meet him?
-
Marlins vs Yankees---8:00pm---at the PRO
Im pretty sure no one would've had Jeter been running. But since he didn't pretty much anyone could have. A-Gon made it good looking though, which Ill give him props for.
-
Marlins vs Yankees---8:00pm---at the PRO
I hope he gets lit up for 6 or 7 in the fisrt inning. He's a prick. Have you ever met him? No? Then you have no idea what he is.
-
Marlins vs Yankees---8:00pm---at the PRO
I hope Fox manages to fit some of the game in tonite in between the 3 hours of a Roger Clemens lovefest. Clemens=RICHARD. He doesnt deserve a love-fest in his last start? I say he gets a 5 hour special!
-
Marlins vs Yankees---8:00pm---at the PRO
Actually I find that doubtful. Unless the Yankees need him in a 7th game middle relief, I truley believe this is the last you'll see of the greatest pitcher in our era.

Need New Stadium Full of Real Fans
I guess thats what happens when you have a bunch of high saleried-homers going to the games. Thats one of my problems with the WS.

Theres Still a Chance...
Wells is on and off this postseason..... Actually...Wells has only been on so far this postseason. But earlier in the year he did have some struggles. Wells really depends on his back. If it's not feeling right, he's terrible -- if it's feeling right, he's great. Sept-Oct its been feeling right, but it can change it a heart beat.

Need New Stadium Full of Real Fans
I understand that there was a rain delay and it seemed to be on and off most of the night, but about 5 minutes after the second bit of rain started the stadium seemed 1/2 empty. Where did everyone go? I would kill to go to a World Series game even if I am getting soaked.

I BELIEVE!
I BELIEVE. Yankees fans are already getting cocky, just like the Cubs fans did. Wrong. Show me where the Yankee fans are cocky? It's rare NY Fans give an opposing WS Team any respect at all, and the Fish may be getting the most respect from Yankee fans since we won our first title in 96. I know its a rallying cry that we're getting cocky but please... I live in the NY area, I listen to Sports radio, after we lost game 1 I saw as much panic (uncalled for) from Yankee fans as Ive ever seen. Id say 90% of callers on the radio are saying that this series isnt really over yet. And that we need this game tonight to really be "safe" with the series. If we dont win tonight, yesterday is a wash. We were supposed to lose yesterday, and win today -- so you have a chance to redeem yourselves tonight. Any Yankee fan you find getting cocky, hasnt been live and die with this team all year. If you have been a live and die fan, you know this team is extremely vulnerable.

ESPN article
He's a great player, but he's right. He's not the next Rickey Henderson.
