VC (43pts) gets ejected early in 4th
When they eject a player on a phantom call when he made up 2/3 of your teams scoring? That doesnt add up in your head? Get the homer goggles off for 5 minutes please.

Yeah, the man softer than charmin was single handedly beating the best team in the NBA. Ill take him on my team any day. Sorry, that you cant admit your player is dirty (like I said not that there is really anything wrong with it). Your an intelligent guy, but unfortunately your just like me, your a homer. 683238 If dirty is being a tough in your face defender than Bowen is dirty. Of note: every defensive 'specialist' has been labeled as dirty in thier careers in the history of hte NBA. So Vince was going off....it happens. He couldnt miss until the fourth...players go off some nights, thats how the NBA works. I'd trust that the Spurs would shut down Vince more often than not. Kinda how the Spurs shut down the Nets in 2003. 683241 Couldnt miss UNTIL the fourth? He didnt even get to play the fourth. I also notice how you resort to attacking the Nets past because you know you were getting dominated tonight by a 1 man team. I hope you enjoyed it, I enjoyed squashing you greatly until the referees gave you the game. Enjoy it. ...Until we meet again...

I think Bowen just tripped and because Bruce wrecked Vince's last season on a similar play that was dirty, Vince took exception.. Come on Das, you know if someone had ruined your last season you would remember it, in a similar play you wouldve been pissed off too. PS - Looked to me like Bowen was intentionally backing up into Vinces legs after watching another replay, maybe it was intentionally dirty.

That was a phantom T... What happened to superstars getting calls? Its not like he hit him or bumped him or anything...He was just running in his area when a referee stopped him about 10 feet before he got there. I dont have a problem with Bruce's defense, being a pesky prick who sometimes does dirty things is apart of the game. The T is where I have the problem. Since when do NBA superstars get ejected while having the game of their lives? Especially when in a normal situation, Im not sure any other player wouldve gotten a T. I actually wonder if it wasnt an anti-vince bias. Luckily, Im used to it, being a Net fan is the hardest occupation in the NBA.

Vince Will Start the ASG and Rightfully So
Just the way AI has shown so much maturity this year....and turned his personal and buisness life around I really respect. 678024 AI gets a bad rap because of the tattoos and all the other stuff, but in reality he is a hard working, dedicated, team player. His image is bad for the NBA, but his work ethic and all that is what we need more of in the NBA. 678267 Well said. I mean... Practice? We're talking about practice.

How is Rivera struggling? Is this based on just last years 1 game against the Red Sox? If Im not mistaken Rivera was still last years best regular season closer.

Jason Kidd a Warrior?
Jason Kidd said a week ago he doesnt want to be traded...JKidd has spoken through Vince Carter that he wants to stay because of the teams "potential". This is just like the Laker rumor. The NBA market is dry right now, so people will just start rumors to have something to talk about.

Da Bulls!
Nevermind. Bulls should dominate, that Nets are down to 7 players active now. Rodney Buford will miss 4-6 weeks with a ligament problem in his ankle...No big deal you say? Buford is the Nets 3rd best player right now. God hates us Nets fans, we can never catch a break.

LOL I love seeing the Knicks suffer in salary cap purgatory. I love seeing them lose. I love seeing them get pasted by 30. 672848 Wow, no need to get a woody over it.

Weather's Effect on NFL games
I know you guys arent in the direct track like NY NJ now is, but last report I saw Pittsburgh is supposed to get 4-8 inches. As for playing football in the cold air...The windchill is supposed to be -6 to -10 in my area. I know most of you are from Florida and probably cant even come to understand what that feels like, but let me tell you its hell. Running even short distances in -6 wind chills with 35 MPH gusts is dreadful. I remember one time last year with -5 wind chills and snow I went hiking with my dad, we had full coats and gloves on...After just 5 minutes of hiking we had to turn back, my dad had frostbite on a piece of his hand where the glove wasn't covering. 5 minutes! Despite all the reports that weather doesnt effect football games, I cant see how it doesnt. Now sure, Im not a finally tuned steroid machine like these guys are, but Im in pretty good shape, and I just cant see how it doesnt effect the game. Your hands become numb even after just 5 minutes. If by some strange occurence its also still snowing, that will take out the long distance passing game entirely. Experts who say snow and negative wind chills dont effect football games are talking out of their ass.

Big Unit on Letterman last night
He got a haircut. 654311 He looks ghey already. He will go 10-17 with an 5.21 era 654314 Im glad to see the maturity level of some Marlin fans are keeping up to par with preschoolers.

Richard Jefferson out for season
I know you were just kidding, but Carter wasnt even on the team or in trade talks when this injury occured. It happened the beginning of December vs the Knicks. P.S.- Already rumors that if the Nets can somehow be in the mix during mid April, Jefferson could return.

Richard Jefferson out for season
Its not official yet...but in a way I can see it being for the best in the end. The Nets can get a top 5 pick and maybe grab a good young big man in the draft that will develop. A starting lineup of Kidd Carter Jefferson TOP 5 PICK PF and Krstic looks like it could compete for a title for a couple seasons.

Randy Johnson gets physical with cameraman
Passion, its not like the New York media is tearing him apart. I can think of 2 times in the past where Johnson has done the exact same thing...in Arizona...He just doesnt like any media, at all...period. I know you'll twist anything so that it makes it look super negative toward the Yankees, but really, dont try to make this out to be more than it is. BTW- David Justice was great for us. Not much was expected of him, and he gave us all we could have imagined and more. 652496 I didnt say a thing about the Yankees. Re-read what I said. I just said the New York media is as intense as it gets and the pressure is going to be unlike anything he knows. This was a non-big deal, but he already made it a big one. Hed better get to like the media or he isnt going to last the season. 652708 Mussina doesnt like the media at all, and he's doing fine. Its not a matter of whether you like the media or not, its whether you can deal with the media. Him pushing a cameraman doesnt have to do with not dealing with the media, it has to do with him not liking the media.

MLB, MLBPA and *gasp* Yankees show class
i thought the yankees wouldnt have had the "heart" to donate money all because of their selfishness so im not surprised about the money but about the fact that they actually "gave out" their precious money to people who need it more than they ever will 650213 Seeing as the Yankees and George Steinbrenner are one of the most charitable groups, Id say this is pretty assanine. Whether you like the Yankees or not in the baseball world, dont question their heart. It makes you look dumb.

Yankees 2005 payroll
Good for them. An owner that actually spends money. Why won't that billionaire in Minnesota chip in for that new ballpark he wants (or $3 million to keep David Ortiz)? Why is the owner of Devil Rays more interested in the latest bargain bin PR stunt than talented ballplayers? The Angels' Moreno slashing payroll after their best year at the gate? Mets? Phillies? Cubs? Dodgers? Red Sox? The new Braves? All these 'small market' teams earning loads of revenue from new publically-built ballparks? Those owners are the ones that deserve every fan's scorn. 646027
