1. He got paid great money and got to stay where he wanted. Win-Win. Not a very hard decision. I'm shocked to hear that the Cavs offered Udonis 10 million more. Thats 8-9 million per year. While Udonis is a good player, 8-9 per? Are you kidding me? When the Nets are going to be getting Abdur-Rahim for 4.9 a year? And the Wizards could be getting Donyell Marshall for 4.9 a year? Surely, Cleveland must be joking.

Maybe I'm in the minority. But I'm not frustrated/angry at all with the Yankees at the moment. Despite playing some of the worst baseball I've ever seen they are only 2.5 games back of the division lead...Frustrated with that? No. I'm happy with it.
3. I have no idea wtf the Yankees are doing. They should have got Beltran when they had the chance. 845337 Thats funny...This Carlos Beltran? http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/team/player....layer_id=136860 .267/.320/.430/.750 ? 4 steals? Humorous. He's almost more overpaid than Pavano.

Does this remind anyone else of the fall of the Slam Dunk Contest?
5. You're right, how dare anyone question the great yankees. Their is nothing to bash in a team that spends records amounts of money for a mediocre team. 839220 Check yourself - I've been the Conductor of the Yankee bash train over the past week. I'm the one who keeps saying "they aren't back" when they go on one of their winning streaks - when everyone else is saying "here we go!". And if that isn't enough for you... This team is an absolute travesty. Heartless, gutless, overpaid. They play with zero passion and despite being paid millions of dollars they cannot even act like they care. Believe me, I've been more than grounded in reality. BUT You obviously have no idea what the New York media is like if you believe a story like this one. Get a clue. Stories from a rag that say A-Rod and Jeter are nearly fist fighting in the lockerroom is clearly idiocy - and if you believe it, then you sir are just that, an idiot.
6. I've only seen 5 movies this summer and this is how I'd rank them: 1. Batman Begins (The seperation is to illustrate how superior it is to the other four) 2. Crash 3. War Of The Worlds 4. The Longest Yard 5. Star Wars Maybe it's just because Batman was so good - But it seems the other movies haven't been very good at all this summer.
7. I swear you people get more stupid every day. Honestly. 839126 And yet you constantly show up! 839182 I have to be here or else this board will lose the only sense of sanity it has left.
8. I thought it sucked. Probably the most important part of a movie is it's climax and conclusion. It didn't deliver on either end. Yeah, it had fancy special effects, a big name actor, and some suspenseful moments - but when the time came, it didn't come through. Lets be honest - I don't pay 14 bucks for OK. And thats what I got. This movie is definitely a wait until its out on DVDer! Batman has been by far the best movie of the summer. It's too bad - I had high hopes for WOTW, too.
9. Morgan Ensberg got snubbed big time. 839112 Indeed. Especially considering the fact that Rolen is playing third base when he clearly doesn't deserve it.
10. Pavs might have been an All Star if he stayed here. He was awesome at the Pro. 838863 There's also a difference between the Yankee defense, and the Marlin defense. - As far as Sturtze starting, I'd take Sturtze any day of the week over Randy Johnson and Carl Pavano. Best 5 Yankee Starters 1. Wang 2. Mussina 3. Sturtze 4. Johnson 5. Gordon Yes, that is Tom Gordon. :plain
11. This Celebrity Reporter is in the clubhouse after the game and Jeter and A-Rod start going at it right in front of his eyes... Wait...What? Have any of you seen the Yankee clubhouse after a game? You know the one filled with 500 media personnel? The one that the players run out of as soon as they get the chance? Yes. Jeter and A-Rod sat there, waited for an hour until everyone left than grabbed their boxing gloves and started to beat the crap out of eachother with words while a Celebrity Reporter sat and watched -- WITH NO OTHER MEDIA CREDENTIAL IN THE CLUBHOUSE. Odd. Notice how no one else has picked up the story...Hm? Only one person saw them do this? In the New York media market? Are you guys serious? I swear you people get more stupid every day. Honestly. Please, get your Yankee Hater goggles off and put on your logic glasses - I swear, its better this way.
12. Sturtze is the best Yankee starter behind Wang anyway...

My Yankees are having a whole lot of Fluke Games. Damn.
14. HELLO PEOPLE NEW YORK POST REMEMBER? THE ONE WHO MAKES EVERYTHING UP? YES THAT'S WHERE THIS CAME FROM. NOW LOCK THE DAMN THREAD.
15. I would be stunned if Gomes went within the top 40 picks. There has been no buzz about Ryan whatsoever. Channing Frye will be Knick if available. No clue who the Nets will pick.
16. The most NBA ready PF is Ike Diogu, guys a rebounding and post machine. Pray he falls to your pick. He'll be very good for you.
17. I have Verlander in a fantasy/simulation league that's been running for about 4 years now. I drafted him last year with the 6th overall pick. So, I've been following him for quite sometime. He's got absolutely killer stuff, just has to keep it under control and he'll be an ace, no doubt about it. Control was really the only question coming out of college.

Congrats, now you get to play a rubber game against the worst team in baseball! Yea Yanks, they are so awesome! 820287 7 out of 8 dumbass. You can't win them all.

Gag me with a spoon Fritz. Thats ridiculous and an overreaction, you call this season a tank job? He's had several VERY GOOD starts that I can think of off the top of my head. Is he posting a 2.50 ERA? No. But this is far from a tank job - it's just an average job.
20. Bryan replied to JPMarlin's topic in Sports
Slow down everybody, he had 2 good starts in a row until this last one. He has had some really impressive starts with the Yankees, the problem with Pavano's stats is that he'll have some god awful games. And I mean horrible ones. 1 out of every 3 of his starts will have a line similar to 4 IP 12 H 6 ER. While that's not really something to be proud of, because 2 out of those 3 are great starts, it leaves fans with hope that maybe he can start putting it all together for all of his starts.
21. One thing about current Yankee stadium is the horrible area it is and how while it is still in the same proximity, they will take steps to put in parks and clean it up. Ive been to 3 games there and everyone walking out to the parking you wondered if you were about to be knifed. 812354 Im gathering you aren't from around here, are you? Because you obviously aren't aware that you'll never get knifed until you get near the Cross-Bronx Expressway. Duh. P.S.- HOK, who has created Camden Yards and Safeco, has said that this will without a doubt be the crowned jewel in all of the sporting complexes ever created.
22. When will this darn thread die? Oh, and even Giambi is going to stumble on good games in a season that has 162 of them. 812842 When the Yankees make the playoffs. Ill make sure of it. P.S. - The Yankees are not back...yet.
23. I love how even though the yankees have won 16 of19, the trolls still come out with their crap if they lose even one game. You guys never miss an opportunity, do you?
24. In regards to A-Rod - http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7509004/ Now, before you say "so what? Just 1 time!" Look at the Pujols thread and how he has suddenly turned into a saint in all of your eyes. Wouldn't want you to get caught with your anti-yankee bias showing! :confused
25. Giambi enters tonight with a 5 game hitting streak..... he's back 777398 A 5 game hitting streak makes you 'back'? 777408 Back to the world of the living, yes. Back to being a above average player, no.
