This is a must win for our team. Dont let the Chacon's era fool you he has good stuff but furtunately we have Johnson to face him. Again this game will come down to who scores the most runs. Go Marlins! CAPTAIN OBVIOUS to the RESCUE!!! :thumbup No such thing as a "must win game" in June. the only must win games in june are in the NBA...which we already took care of... :thumbup We better win today if we want to convince Loria that this is a winning team. :dwarf uh...i think the last 3 weeks convinced him of that... But it a diffewrent story when you are dealing with the Yankees. :mischief

Weather in New York
That HUGE line of thunderstorms needs to head east. If it does then we are fine :thumbup . Well right now seem like a good time to train Reggie in the outfield. Catching fly balls in the wet field. Throw some rock all over the outfield so Reggie learn not to trip while catching those flyball. Right in the middle of open space where an active thunderstorm is passing by so Reggie can conquer his fear.

My probable lineup wasn't that bad, it was base on yestoday lineup. Heck today lineup is the same as yestoday.

Our team battled back but came up JUST short...
With 104, he can easily slow down a little to 96MPH to get some control. And then throw the max heater when 0-2.

problems for the Rays series
well guys our first two games coming up against te rays we have to face James Shields 4-0 3.00 ERA, this kid is awesome and then scott kazmir and we know what he can do!!!! im not sure about the third game but if its Mark Hendrickson we could be in line for some very tough pitching!!!! Yea, so what, they have to face Ricky "the ripper" Nolasco, Scotty Olsen and Brian "the masher" Moehler. Let them worry, our fish will rip the cover off their pitchers. We avenged the Braves and Cubs already and we now avenge the sweep at Tampa. That what I'm affraid of.

Billy Wagner blows ANOTHER save
Mets aren't where they are for no reason. I'm not concerned about it, especially with the state of the rest of the teams in the division. Ya mean like the Marlins winning 10 out of their last 11 games? :mischief2 Should we stretch that to last 25 games though? :mischief2

I heard Yankee payroll went down this year. Look like that revunue sharing plan is taking effect. "The first inning, we gave them that inning," said Marlins manager Joe Girardi, New York's bench coach last year, who returned to Yankee Stadium for the first time since joining Florida. "You take a lot out of a starting pitcher when you do that. I can't fault Mo at all. Mo pitched a much better game than the numbers will indicate, and he deserved better." "It could have, but at the same time, it's still baseball," said first baseman Mike Jacobs, who committed a first-inning error and also misplayed another ball. "You still have to make the plays. I don't think the crowd or [the fact that] it's Yankee Stadium or anything should have that big of an effect on you not being able to make the plays." "Sometimes it happens," Girardi said. "Sometimes teams make a few errors and it snowballs a little bit. I thought the infield was especially fast tonight." "We were still in it, and came back and scored three," Moehler said. "The leadoff walk to Damon in the fourth really killed us, and that's more frustrating than anything. I walked that guy. He's a good hitter. Let him swing his way on, and I walked him." "I felt fine," Moehler said. "It was a battle. Thirty pitches in the first inning, that's a lot of pitches. It took its toll." "It was a sloppy first inning," Moehler said. "I gave up some hits. It was one of those innings. That's the way it goes. We were still in it, able to score three." "Those were pretty much plays we should make, but didn't make -- my two and that one kind of took a funny hop on Hanley, too," Jacobs said. "It could have been a lot different game if we had had a better first inning. Mo made some pretty good pitches in that inning, and we failed behind him." "It should have definitely been an error, that's for sure," Jacobs said. "I don't know if it snowballed. We had opportunities to make plays and we just didn't do it. Mo pitched his butt off that first inning and we just didn't make the plays behind him." Some last night game quotes!

Another tough assignment for Johnson. Now he is facing a good hitting team. Let see how his ERA hold up. The NYY are still angry about 2003 so it won't be easy. It'll be great if the Fish take this series but it won't be easy since we need back to back win from a $150M team. Believe!!!

Our team battled back but came up JUST short...
I saw a 109 fastball in the screen. I'll assume it was just a mistake but at the beggining of the 8th. Yankee pitcher was throwing 98 mph, when he got the 1st out, his speed increase to 99, then when Ross came up in the 8th with 2 runners on yankee leading 6-5, he was throwing 100-101mph.

O's Article on the game
Its a soft pitch. So your control should be almost perfect. Just point where you are throwing and threow a softer. There are no rule on how you should throw it so there are no excuse. That was plain laziness frokm that pitcher and he should be emberess!

Key for Girirdi: Use Uggla Mission fail So the server ent down, I was blaming my crappy computer. Darm if only Ross got that hit. But yeah nice effort for a rookie team that face a pitcher that once threw up to a 109 fastball!!!! Even broke the catcher mask.

Well, just lobbing it in there for a sidearmer would be tough. Then throw overhand!
