If we can't make a deal with the Cubs and we pull him back he can't come back to Miami, but another team would claim him the next time through and we would work out a trade with that team. We can't work out another deal. Next time he's claimed he's gone for nothing. Which is what I'm sure the cubs are doing.

Weird way for it to happen, but might Jennings' injury cause us to pull Turner back from the Cubs claim and keep him in the bullpen? He's gone completely, from what I understand is that if we pull him back we have to expose him to irrevocable waivers and get nothing for him. All because we took him off the 40 man roster.

Every team has a grey. So. Your point. Rules state we need a road, not a gray road. White Sox wore black one year for 140 games, why can't we not wear gray? The Orange can be our trademark, and I think it goes well with our identity.

I'm not sure what depth you're looking at, but our SP depth is not good. Not good enough to be trading some away, at least. Also, it doesn't matter because a guy like Koehler doesn't get you Alcantara, anyway. Outside of today, I think Kohler has pitched pretty well for a 4th or 5th starter. Our problem is he's our 2/3. I want Big Salad to stay and finish the year, hell have good numbers at the end. We should be trading SP prospects who haven't come up yet and struggled for other teams prospects, or even trade what may still have value. Nicolino, Disco, Flynn. If we can trade Turner for some decent Bullpen Arms I'll be happy.

And for the love of god someone please email Samson and ask him when they will stop wearing the horrific orange combination on the road and start wearing grey like a normal team. I like the orange- If they eliminated one jersey I'm glad it's the grey.

Flynn starting on Thursday. Cosart hurt his oblique trying to get Turner to smile. As a result, Turner was DFA'd. This all makes sense now. @Ken_Rosenthal: Source: #Marlins’ Turner claimed by NL team. Likely to be dealt. Off 40-man due to DFA; can’t be pulled back w/o going on irrevocable wvrs.

Not yet. He can be traded to the Cubs, or just "awarded" like Cody Ross a few years ago. I'm still betting the Marlins do something Marlins like and Award him to the Cubs. I'm wondering why CBS originally called this Irrevocable Waivers. Completely screwed up In my opinion.

I don't hate any of this. Just because he was DFA doesn't mean he's done. It means if someone claims him, they work out a trade or pull him back and throw him in the pen. He's not going for nothing. If nobody claims him, GREAT, send him down and let Flynn sink or swim. That way next year you know whether to seriously consider Flynn for a roster spot or let him become the next Villanueva. Or Flynn goes down in a few days and the Brad Penny experience begins! Actually, that's exactly what it means. If someone claims him he's gone for nothing.
