Post Game 8/7

I just saw the replay of the Jennings play. Jesus Christ, players definitely need to wear those protective hats no matter how lame they look. I don't want to see pitchers getting hit with a 101 MPH liner straight to the temple.

Game doesn't even matter after something like that happens. Really hoping for the best with Jennings.

Hope Jennings is ok.

As for the Stanton homer, it is not rocket science. People give him shit as if he only tries when were losing by a lot. However, it is pretty easy to understand pitchers are careful with an NL leader in homers, when they are up by a lot, not so careful.

Yup. You exemplified when I mention the "proverbial Stanton 7-1 home run". I'm now starting to learn that me getting on Stanton has a lot to do with men on base, or lack of, which dictates his at bat. And at least no crazy swings are being made lately.

The dog days of August are here....just a flat out typical marlins Thursday August ugly night....in Pittsburgh of course.

I never remember good things happening for us in Cinci. Never.

Not to mention their beast rotation. We in trouble.

The replay of Jennings getting hit sucks, it's an awful angle. Does anyone have a better one?

We are in trouble. Offense is anemic.

Simply too inconsistent. When guys like Saltalamacchia and Ozuna are going, we win games. Too many free swingers making it easy for pitchers and its unacceptable.

Teams like Oakland may not have the most talent, but they have the smarter hitters.

Reggie Abercrombie happened. He still has the 3rd longest home run at Great American at an unforgettable 493 ft.

Maybe Stanton can top it.

LOL, Stanton won't see the light of day.

Trade Stanton. Only performs when it doesn't matter.

Keep preaching to the choir brother.

Eh that's right, Cincy isn't a grand place for us. But then again that kinda proves my little point. We could easily surprise and take the series, even sweep it. Then it'll be back to sucking.

Also, random thought, don't we usually go to Cincy in April or May? Im pretty sure its been extremely rare for us to be in Cincinnati after the all star break. Over the years I'm pretty positive I remember Cincy falling as an early season trip.

What did Stanton ever do to you? He's just trying to help our team win. Why would you hate on someone like that... And has been our best helper this season.

Marlins swept the reds on the road in 2003 when the they started their run after starting terribly. I think that was their last win at cincy, 11 years ago.
