Jesus, I just responded to an old fucking post- who bumped this? I'll leave this here for no good reason but for prosperity. Yep. Probably right. How are these uniforms better than the 2003-2011 set? That is a ridiculous statement. These actually utilized colors- the 03-11 set was primarily the White Sox of the South. Barely any teal. It wasn't even teal in the end, more blue.

I wish the Marlins would start having some Florida Marlins throwback nights, especially circa. 1993. I bet that would draw a decent crowd. By the way, we probably won't see a Florida marlins throwback game until 2018 against the Rockies or Dodgers at the earliest (Fanchises 25th year). They want this rebrand to sink in. I can't see any other event coming around to celebrate the past other than the yankees coming to town whenever that is. The Indians chance already passed. We got it in 2007 and we should feel like we were lucky- even though they lacked the Teal Robinson patch.

The 1993-1996 set was by far a better look than the 97-02 or 03-2011 sets. The problem came in when Loria marginalized teal in 2003 and no one complained. Since then, it was a black fest except for the few times we've seen the orange caps. I'm happy everytime I see the orange alternate or orange caps---- If they bring in that blue jersey they showed off, I think it's a nice enough color to bridge the franchises two looks. Everytime someone trashes the current look, they compare apples to oranges (get the pun?), but this set is by far better than the last one. I hope we see sleeveless 93 throwbacks and maybe a World Series weekend, but the teal will never be re-emphasized again. The colors passed their prime. Sorry for the blog entry, i just kept going. Not all of this is directed at you Penguino, just felt some things needed to be said. If we ditch the black every day look, we have the chance to have as great an identity as the 93 set.

I think stanton will be done- he doesn't need to change his swing to hit it out, his natural powers pushes balls over the fence. Most players try to get under the ball to knock it out. Stanton will just need to hit it square.

This is exactly what I think too. I don't think that this team should be into trading top prospects because I don't see it making the playoffs. With that said, selling at this point seems dumb as well because there is a young core in place that can compete in the near future. Had Jose Fernandez stayed healthy, I would've said buyer. I think you buy at a reasonable price, to show the players in the dugout your trying to help them out a bit. Getting Bullpen Help and maybe a 2B/SS should improve this team quite a bit. If we can move Baker it might help a bit too. A change of scenery type player could be worth it. I don't want to see the farm blown up, but I don't want us to stay put. Maybe we can pry a high priced vet away from a struggling team in exchange for gobbling up payroll. (Assuming these are truly baseball decisions Jennings is allowed to make)

I personally don't mind inter league play. I also agree with Bender on the whole steroids thing. Without BIG MAC, SAMMY SOSA, and BARRY BONDS chasing those HR records it would have taken baseball much longer to come back from the strike if at all. Also, while I am not a Selig fan or apologist, you have to give him some credit for the Wild Card (not our MB.com Wild Card) and the World Baseball Classic. I think both of those things have brought a lot of excitement to the game. I do however agree with you that he has let the likes of Loria do whatever the hell he wants as a baseball owner and that has been bad for both the Marlins and the game. Keep in mind though that Selig works for the owners so I don't think much will change with a new commissioner either. Now if only we could record Loria making some racial slurs? Piazza as the MB.com racist I think it should be your job to catch Loria on tape! Sit near him at the stadium and give him your hustle theory and see if he goes along. Where do you think it came from?
