Though Turner might have actually gotten over the 2-out garbage but right after 2-outs the other teams scores a run in about 30 seconds. To add insult to injury, Atlanta and Washington swept their double-headers.

I'm predicting a miserable 2nd half and finish the season with 77 wins max....more likely 72. Oh I hope I'm really wrong, but I've seen this before....looks like Stanton gets shopped for sure. Forget him ever signing a LTD with Loria. I think he just can't wait to get to a real franchise with an owner serious about winning.

The extra-inning games make it tough when you're already dealing with injuries and then you're removing starters like Dietrich and Ozuna during the game & left with a lineup full of Solano, Baker, etc... It's like you just cross your fingers and hope the pen can hold it together long enough for another Stanton at-bat.

June 29, 201412 yr Disco played himself out of that roster spot. Showed some decent moments but in the end he appeared to be the unpolished prospect we all saw in the minors. Needs to work on refining his off speed stuff and just becoming less hittable the rest of this year. Still like Disco because worst case scenario we can always mold him into a bullpen arm. Marisnick's still young, but I'm at the point where I'm not sure that his hitting will ever get all that much better. It's quite apparent that Yelich/Ozuna/Stanton is our best outfield (can't say enough how surprisingly good Ozuna's been this year) and how Marisnick fits long term with this team unless Stanton gets traded or one of Yelich/Ozuna falls off suddenly.

I'll give him another year, personally. If he can figure it out by the time Jones' contract is up, that'd be nice. Give us the option to move Yelich or Stanton to first [preferably the former]. Or at least one more year to get his trade stock up a tad, maybe.
