Actually, you notice what I like and don't like- but twice you've neglected to reply to my posts depicting the Rays stadium situation after you accused the Marlins of ruining your chances of a permanent home- was there too much truth in those posts?

I think LoMo gets too much of a raw deal around these parts for his injuries. Seeing him for a full season at 1B would be nice. For what it's worth, I believe Lomo will he a better hitter then Gaby Sanchez ever would have, but probably will be average defensively at 1B. I hope he can develop a strong defensive game though. I believe his upbringing will make him strive harder to succeed, much more so than Hermida. I think LoMo has had to work his ass off each step of the way, whereas Hermidas talent took him to the big leagues, but his drive left him in the minors. With that said, if Hermida ever puts it together on some teams AAA team I think he'll make himself a legitimate ML player

He did terrible in AA Jacksonville. I'm not sure what you mean by his "eye came around in 2012 with AA Jacksonville." He was OBP in Memphis was 290 something, whereas in Jacksonville he got that up to .320 or so. Both averages were the same I believe, .254.

It looks like his eye came around in 2012 with AA Jacksonville, and that was after the Marlins sent him from STL's AAA to Miami's AA Squad. My only concern is his defense, his fielding percentage makes me feel like Hanley was a Gold Glover.

Francisco could be more than a stopgap; that's why I like him. The guy truly has some serious power. What would he cost though?

Curious, I'm sure there are more members qualified on this board to ask this question to, so I'd love members like Erick and HotCorner's opinion on Who do you view as legitimate options to play third base, or legitimate targets the Marlins should be looking at in some Organization's 3B Prospects? With Myers traded, and him being the one guy I would have enjoyed in Miami- who do you think are good options and who is likely to be our choice going into next year. Do you feel Cox and Dietrich are capable?

What do you fellas think of Dayan Viciedo and his availability. Think he might be too big to be a 1B or 3B again? He did hit 25 HR's and a .255 average last year with club control until 2018 and he's Cuban so you have to assume he'll be better then Mark Reynolds from a baseball and marketing position. While I don't agree with giving him a chance, I don't see where the harm is in giving him a chance as a Minor League ST Invite and possibly letting him go to NO if he can work his way up to MIA. Don't let him near the big league club in spring training (a possible distraction), but let him try to earn a Minors roster spot next year with a legit chance to make a MLB roster possibly in September. I don't think we have any AAA OF's he'd block given a roster spot.

Is that more than he got from Miami before?

I broke down why the rays are prevented from getting a ballpark in your last thread, it was consise and to the point. If a fan of another team knows your teams ballpark situation, don't you think you should too. The Rays will not get a new ballpark approved until well after 2018 or until the mayor of St Pete is gone. What the marlins did has no effect on those plans, nor will it impede and future plans. The Rays are screwed because they signed what looks like a 40 year lease. The fact that ST Pete wants to hold them to it is a Legal/ Contract Problem, not a Marlins problem.

I would only hope Kouzmanoff and Solano are replaced with something respectable. If they get replaced, this lineup COULD be better than July to Octobers

It seems like a Hannahan/Stewart to platoon with Kouzmanoff type scenario until Cox/Dietrich is/are ready. Brandon Wood just struck out as I was typing this. But did Dallas McPherson?
