  1. It's just like Ron Paul said on this: "Why give it back to him to use for bad purposes?" This is such a non-issue. That's the perfect response, actually. "I'll take it, but I'm not going to do what you want me to."
  2. Reports are the guy did have a pre-existing heart condition. Celebration Hospital......what a name. It's actually "Celebration Health". There was a column in yesterday's Sentinel, a pundit said you're no more likely to die at Disney than at any other huge gathering place. In fact, you're more likely to die on I-4 than at Disney.
  3. New England Buffalo Tampa Bay Miami Washington Green Bay Jacksonville New Orleans Baltimore Seattle Cleveland Tennessee Minnesota San Diego Arizona Kansas City 9-7
  4. Pittsburgh @ St. Louis tonight. I myself would love to see an epic failure by the Steelers. :mischief
  5. Im just curious, when was that photo you posted of Barry taken? Look at the LED sign. That should give you a clue. I lol'ed. To think, the Fish pwned him the next year. :mischief
  6. I am trying to find other things on Cindy to ridicule besides her mole... I just can't find any. She is officially a MILF. :mischief
  7. I had an ex that look just like her, sure her name isn't Tiffany? LOL You never know. "Kiera Sky" doesn't sound like her real name. :mischief
  8. Well, we're movin' on up (movin' on up!) To the East Side (movin' on up!) To a deeeeeluxe apartment in the sky Moooooovin' on up (movin' on up!) To the East Side (movin' on up!) We've finally got a piece of the pie! :mischief
  9. Thank God for Florida's self defense law.
  10. I don't like this from FieldofSchemes... What happens next is slightly unclear: There doesn't appear to be a lease agreed on, for one thing, and while Miami Herald adds that the two commissions still must approve the stadium project in further votes, and that "some of those votes could happen later Tuesday, some not for years." Marlins execs have talked about opening a new stadium by 2010, which would seem to require that the team put shovels in the ground, like, yesterday. More news as it develops, but clearly this is the closest that Jeffrey Loria and David Samson's stadium quest has come to fruition in their many years of trying. YEARS? FOS is trying its best to twist the story. :mischief
  11. Some people called that if Boca Jrs bought it, it would be called Boca USA. I wouldnt like the name to be Miami FC though. Too classical. Atletico Miami sounds more Latin and will attract more people. Also made a forum for the team: http://miamimlssoccer.14.forumer.com/ BigSoccer also has a de facto forum for candidacy of Florida cities: http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=1278
  12. The new seattle franchise that starts play in 09 has already sold 10k tickets in a little over a month, so I say it will work. Pontential owners for the team include Boca Jrs, and the group that organizes Copa America and currently owns Miami FC 10,000 season tickets in Seattle. In a month. Incredible. The owners of Miami FC actually spoke on Special Item #1. I'm willing to bet they want to do it.
  13. Here's a sign of goodwill, Sammy Davis Jr: Rename the team now.
  14. If she smiled, then just smile back.
  15. It sounds like they want to ensure that minority groups are involved in construction. That's no problem. Orlando and Orange County are requiring HOK to utilize 18% minority subcontractors and 6% women subcontractors in construction of the new Orlando Events Center.
  16. They're beginning the special meeting. It's Vader Time. :mischief
  17. Why is he called Senator Souto? Is he serving both as a district commissioner and as a state senator?
  18. That's probably a good thing, no? Just like the cigarette tax probably contributed to the dramatic drop in smoking in this country. The problem is, they don't raise taxes to do good. They raise taxes to make money to expand government.
  19. They're not taxing it to get people to stop. They're doing it to make more money, on the pretense that they know people won't stop. But what happens if people actually do stop?
  20. ESPN just put up an "NFL Bottom 12", a list of the pursuit of imperfection. The first 10 lost at least their first 8 games since the 1978 schedule expansion to 16 games, plus two that won early and never won again, and are effectively the best of the worst between the 76-77 Bucs and the 2007 Dolphins. 1) 1980 New Orleans Saints (1-15, started 0-14) 2) 1986 Indianapolis Colts (3-13, started 0-13) 3) 2000 San Diego Chargers (1-15, started 0-11) 4) 1984 Buffalo Bills (2-14, started 0-11) 5) 1983/84 Houston Oilers (2-14 and 3-13 respectively, started 0-10 both years) 6T) 1997 Indianapolis Colts (3-13, started 0-10) 6T) 1993 Cincinnati Bengals (3-13, started 0-10) 8) 1991 Indianapolis Colts (1-15, started 0-9) 9T) 1989 Dallas Cowboys (1-15, started 0-8) 9T) 1996 New York Jets (1-15, started 0-8) 11) 1990 New England Patriots(!) (1-15, won second game) 12) 2001 Carolina Panthers (1-15, won first game)
  21. It doesn't matter what this harkens back to. What matters is that the country can't keep stacking up the debts. Eventually people will come to collect on the bonds they are borrowed against. If we don't have the money to pay for it, the global economy is doomed.
  22. It will be interesting to see how much ticket sales pick up once/if a stadium deal is finalized. I would imagine there are a lot of fans (and businesses) who are reluctant to make such a committment to a team that might not be here in a few years. The above is what's holding me back from buying a 28 game package for next season. If they get a stadium deal done, I will buy a season ticket package again. I recommend holding off until shovel meets dirt. You just never know with the idiot that owns the Marlins.
  23. The long national nightmare is over for the Dolphins. Maybe a new one begins Sunday in New England? The march for perfection meets the march for the #1 draft pick. :mischief Jacksonville hosts Oakland. Just hand them their playoff spot on a silver plate, why don't you? Tampa Bay doesn't need to be handed anything; they take it. And take they will: as in, a win from the 49ers as they tune up for their Wild Card Playoff game in Tampa Bay the first weekend of January. Sunday Night is Washington at Minnesota. Monday Night is Denver at San Diego. NFL Network steals Pittsburgh at St. Louis Thursday Night and Dallas at Carolina Saturday Night.
