How is he being a troll? He used the term "if" which means that he is having a hypothetical discussion. Isn't that what we do on these forums? I mean... seriously, people don't become trolls because they say something, even hypothetically, that you just don't wanna hear. The team needs starting pitching. We're on the verge of losing our third straight series (3-6) in that time and those three wins came on the back of Ricky Nolasco going 8 innings in Colorado with 1 run, JJ going complete game 3 hitter with 1 run and I believe the last game of the Astros series had a great Sanchez start, but I'm not going to dig out the numbers. The biggest impact that we can have on this team right now is better starting pitching. Don't ask me what the solution is though, but this team can definitely hit... they just can't pitch very well. Thanks, much appreciated. And yes the pitching is the problem. The bullpen has to be addressed soon, or we will be in a deep hole in what looks to be a winnable division. I'm not so sure the pitching problems were Wiley, but maybe the pitchers themselves, they just aren't that good.

Mike Stanton will be up by then if not before. I can't say which OFer he is going to supplant most of the time, but with mediocrity at 3 positions finding playing time for him, while even leaving ample time for a 4th guy to shuffle around, is going to be pretty easy. Wow, that means its got to be Maybin who gets shipped out ? Will the FO do that ? He is part of their legacy with regards to the Miggy/Willis trade. Do they have the heart to do it ? I can't imagine them doing that to Coglhan or Ross, but you never know I guess.

Loria said he "expects" to be in the playoffs this year. If we are 7 or 8 games out of 1st and in 4th or 5th come Memorial Day how will the FO deal with this ? Any moves we can make from within the organization ?

Calling someone a loser when you know ZIPPO about them as a person, shows a very shallow mindset to most of us. Maybe Miller is not the ACE he was supposed to be on the baseball field but he certainly is no loser. He probably has $ 3-4 million in the bank which is more money than most folks will ever see. He also may not have made much of a good impression with his play, but off the field I have never witnessed Andrew be anything but a gentleman to the media and fans. A loser he certainly is not.

Well Loria being in the picture must mean something big is in the works. I know that Loria has to be extremely disappointed, as he said more than once, before the season that he expected to be in the playoffs this year. Could it be Freddi's job is in danger ? More likely a trade but something must be going on....

Why should he do color for the Marlins? They already have Tommy Hutton who is damn good at his job. In fact, I hope that the Waltz-Hutton combo stays together for the forseeable future. Maybe radio, I guess. +1,000 % I really enjoy Tommy & Rich too.

Why are people saying it's blacked out? It says on the marlins main site that it will be showing in FS-F AND MLBN Because, not all people that follow and look at Marlins games live in Fla. But for Floridians, yes it will be a blackout job. Will it be MLB announcers or just a similicast of our Tommy & Rich ?

they both suck. veras and henlsey have both had two appearances this season and have totally been trash. re-sign mcclung and give him another chance or go out and sign russ springer to a minor league deal. i miss calero and donnelly. would it have killed the cheap ass front office to sign just ONE player to a major league deal specifically, a reliable reliever. lolwut? Hensley didn't even do terribly, tonight. Funny how Hensley went from being "great, belongs in the rotation!" to "Hensley sucks, DFA him!" in the matter of...like a week. I agree with Veras, though. The guy has always been a high walks guy, he hadn't done anything with us before, we owe him nothing, didn't even have a good Spring Training...and he, somehow, made the team, easily. I don't get it. Say this bullpen continues on the track they seemed destined to go, and really blow up badly. To try to save some face, Admin Beinfest then goes out and trades for a couple of arms he could have had for nothing this past off-season, and includes some of the depth we have for the supposed future, will your assessment of Beinfest change ? Its like the Robertson trade....this off-season there were decent FA's he could have signed and didn't. Then in desperation, he traded off a valuable asset, hence making the organization weaker for the future. I hope he doesn't do it, but I can see it coming. How long will pitchers like Volstad, Johnson have any trust in this organization when they so blatantly ignore their weaknesses ? This bullpen is a mess and its failure is at the feet of Beinfest.

The Marlins are very high on Logan Morrison. There's zero chance he gets traded. Don't be surprised if Uggla is dangled for pitching help again. You mean the pitching/bullpen help they should have been signing this off-season ?

Stanton 100% needs to be in AA for two months, then a promotion to AAA, and if he's still mashing during all of this, call him up on August 31st so he is eligible for post season rosters. Brother Lou are you watching the same Marlins bullpen I am ? Postseason ???? :banghead

I could post another negative post about Pinto, but I guess I'd be over-reacting again too. our fears about this bullpen are REAL. This season is doomed. Oh well, can't wait for June or July so we can see what Stanton looks like.

I'm glad he won't be walking 25 all season. That's great, but this bullpen will issue 25 walks a night, so I guess it won't matter much, except he and JJ may be asking for trades by the end of the year

I'm surprised..... But here is mine, 74-88 and 4th place. More losses to Atlanta, Mets and Washington doom us.

and our ball club has Alot of young talent that still needs development. With development comes mistakes... (Hermida most recently) How about passing on Jason Hayward to take Matt Dominguez in 2007 ? I think that might be the biggest mistake of the Loria reign.
