I've got 3 guys that I would love for the Marlins to draft at 14 with a number of others I wouldn't complain about. The 3 are: OF Mikie Mahtook, LSU - Great contact hitter with pop. CF prospect who had more walks than strikeouts. Stole 29 bases this season. OF George Springer, UCONN - Another CF prospect who can hit for average and power. Good plate discipline but slightly below Mahtook's. Stole 30 bags. 2B Kolten Wong, Hawaii - Hits for average with some pop. Great walk/strikeout ratio and stole over 20 bags.

That article was good for a laugh. Four reasons why the Giants shouldn't do anything to Cousins. 1. Gaby Sanchez 2. Mike Stanton 3. Logan Morrison 4. The trip on the pain train they would take after Gaby, Mike, and Logan got done with them.

This season has been great so far. We have proven we're for real but I'm really hoping we add another bat either before the deadline or at. LoMo and Gaby are machines and should stay at 3 and 4 in the order for the rest of the season. Stanton has struggled off and on but is one of the better power hitters in the league. If we could get a guy to bat leadoff or second who can hit for average, draw walks, just get on base in front of Morrison and Gaby it would go a long way. I also wouldn't mind sending Volstad down to the minors in favor of Koehler. He may not have the best stuff but has shown he can pitch at every level. Some guys just know how to get it done, at worst he'll put up the same numbers Volstad is putting up. EDIT: Scratch the Koehler thing, he's getting rocked lately.

Samson is unhappy with being out of the spotlight for anything more than 5 minutes. Side question: About how tall is Samson? I saw him on an episode of Inside the Marlins and he looked like a troll. I'm 5-7 and if he is taller than I am I really do not feel good about myself.

I find it hard to believe he would play with pain and not tell anyone about it. He probably is hurting but I wouldn't be surprised if it was from something that happened recently.
