We will all have to chip in for one next year. But it will just be text on a black screen that says "Breaking New Ground" If we all chip in, we may be able to get a fraction of a second. It may inspire people to rewind their DVR and go frame by frame to see it. Who's in? Well, supposedly the average cost for a 30-second ad this year was $3.01 million dollars. So, assuming this price and taking into consideration that TV broadcasts are 29.97 frames a second, we could buy one frame for only $3,347.79! FOX (unfortunately the network for next year) could even increase the price by almost 20% and we could still get a frame for $4,000...

The great thing about the PC version is literally hundreds of mods have been made for the game that make it that much better. I am still playing it regularly - I lasted maybe a week and a half with MLB 2K9 before switching back to MVP for good.

Thanks! The day definitely would have been better without work (it was a federal holiday after all!) but the afternoon/evening was definitely better!

Other failed players would include the # 1 picks from 1993, Marc Valdes, 95 Jaime Jones and 97 Aaron Akin and 98 Chip Ambres I still have his authentic 1998 BP jersey that I bought at the Sea Dogs cart at the mall for $75. They only had his and one other - I'm pretty sure it was Brandon Villafuerte's... Looking back on it now it seems I may have made the wrong choice - Villafuerte made it to the majors ! (He was back with the Marlins organization last year in AAA, but it appears that he's not in the minors this year...)

The Braves did this last year with former Marlin Chris Resop... if I remember correctly, the move didn't actually work out for the Braves.

I HATE flying... I get very nervous. Every time the plane loses even a little altitude, I think it's going down and going to crash. The last time I flew was in 2003, going to and coming back from Game 3 of the World Series in Miami.

I don't think I'd ask for anything. Honestly, as corny as it sounds, if I made someone's day that would be good enough for me.

Ohhhh HAHAHA I know him by just Bach I though you were talking about a band :/ Nope - The Beatles are probably my favorite band, but Baroque and Romantic-era music (particularly Bach and Brahms) makes up a very big chunk of my favorite music.

I've posted this before. Here's mine. I did it in response to all the RedSox tags up here. From one outnumbered New Englander to another, that's great. :thumbup

He is risen indeed! As is the yearly tradition, my family went to the joint (local United Methodist Churches in the area as well as one Nazarene Church) Sunrise Service, which is held at the shore so the sun rises from the ocean. With Cape Elizabeth Light (not to be confused with Portland Head Light, which is also in Cape Elizabeth) behind us, it was a nice setting, although it was around 34 degrees and very windy.

I've liked him ever since he played for Portland in 2000. It's good to see him back with the organization. :thumbup

Btw, where is Todd Jones right now, still with the Tigers? He retired at the beginning of the off-season.

Are you guys talking about the show or 2k9? I dont see mlb 2k9 in the downloadable content on live demos. They're talking about MLB: The Show. The demo for MLB 2K9 hasn't come out yet. I will be interested to see what the PC version of MLB 2K9 will be like - especially how moddable it will be (and if it will even run on my computer).
