The 2006 ALDS: New York Yankees VS. Detroit Tigers
Nate starting game 1? Did I miss something amazing he must have done? Anyway, I might go with the yanks here, a lot of pitching but the tigers have cooled off big time. Rogers, the planned starter of Game 1, pitched yesterday in relief (2 IP), so they needed to make some adjustments. Anyway, let's go Yankees (but not until Nate is out of the game and won't get the loss)!

It's too bad the article on the Headline section of MLB.com reads "Uggla's three homers lead Fish past Mets". :banghead

Awesome scene in Yankee Stadium with Leyland
ESPN is going to show it again in a few minutes. I really don't think the strike zones have been all that different.

Awesome scene in Yankee Stadium with Leyland
Apparently, he was ejected from the game for that tirade (and judging by what I could read from his lips, he deserved it).

2003 Official WS Program
I got one at a season ticket holders event. They were giving them out with various autographs and mine was signed by Andre Dawson. I also remember that rainy WS game and I don't know how I did it but I managed to keep mine dry. Maybe that's where I remember hearing that the programs were given out...

2003 Official WS Program
I remember the Marlins were giving them out last year or the year before as part of a season ticket package (or something similiar)... though it's still nice that you found them. My program isn't in mint condition, but that's because I couldn't keep it dry at Game 3 - it rained and the stadium staff didn't allow umbrellas or large bags, so it was under the seat.

Do you have a Dell?
My Dell Inspiron 8600 has a Sony battery, so I was worried that I was affected. After running the Dell Part Piece Identification through their web site, however, it seems like I'm fine.

Weather Check!
The Portland, Maine area was 93 at some point today, and I think it got higher than that. With the humidity added, the heat index is 100-105 degrees. The ocean (which I can see from my window) isn't much of a factor today. My room is 83.8 degrees right now, with no air conditioning (a small fan) and no screen on the window to feel any breeze... :confused

Abreu, Lidle Traded To Yankees
Trading Matt Smith is a shame. I already didn't think getting Abreu was a good idea, but it's even worse because Smith did well in AAA and has pitched 12 scoreless innings with the Yankees this year.

Adrian Gonzalez has officially exploded
Adrian has been named the NL's Player of the Week. Story from MLB.com He hit .607 and had an on-base percentage of .645!

The GREATEST idea in the history of professional sports
Here's the first article on the team posted a while ago: I'm moving this to the minors because independent baseball is more similar to the minors than the majors.

Devil Rays.... AUTOWAY....... what the hell?
So no matter where you live in this country, it is impossible to escape the jingle. THERE'S NO REASON TO LIVE ANYMORE! *jumps out window* It's not around here in Maine (except on MLB.TV), but you have to put up with "Jolly John" :plain. He's really not that bad anymore, but he used to dress up in chicken suits. Now he's just left with his strong Maine accent. ("If you want to pay more, that's your business; but if you want to pay less, that's aaaauuuuuhh business.")

Could you become a US Citizen?
Like a lot of people, I only missed #19.

LCS to TBS?
Turner Sports is serious I hear, but MLB may leave them last minute for a sweeter deal at FOX or another broadcast network. Hopefully that's the keyword.

MARLINS @ Bronx Bombers GAME 2 PRIMETIME 8:05pm 6/25
I have not followed the minors too well. How good as Sanch been down there? In AA Carolina, he had a 3-6 record, but also had a 3.15 ERA. He averaged about 5 2/3 IP per start, though 2 of his starts were complete games.

MARLINS @ Bronx Bombers GAME 2 PRIMETIME 8:05pm 6/25
This is not quite a "soft landing". Maybe not, but being a former Boston farm hand, you have to think this situation was being put in his mind anyway.
