Ignore option...

Featured Replies

Just because the developer may release the new software that day doesn't mean it'll be on this site on that day. I have to do some work on it and modify it. I don't like stuff right out of "the box".

The sooner the better but take your time.

Ignore Option = GREAT.

No more "well, also i think he's a good hitter also."

Can I block myself?

I think it defeats the whole idea of a message board because it's not fun when you can't see the stupid posts people make

but whatever floats your boat...

But sometimes....it....just....gets....too....much.

Power to the people. If you know that someone is going to consistently make a certain type of comment and/or let their distasteful-to-you personality shine through every post, why not offer a reprieve?

I agree.

I'm now going to ignore the entire board :nogood :

(Well, maybe not Admin and MarlinsFan46...although I'm not too sure on the Admin issue.)

:p

I agree that somehow it defeats the principle of the board, but...

If the peeps want it, who are Admin and Das to deny them?

Also, if you ignore someone, does their topic show up if they start one? How does that work?

yeah that's a good question

that would suck then b/c you won't be able to see anyone else's response

but i'm not ignoring anyone anyways

If someone posted and no one had left him unblocked, does he still make a sound?

Yea, blocking on a message board kind of defeats the purpose of it in the first place...

I'll just ignore the negative nancy like sheff1 and Scott Cane.

Also being ignored = Captain Obvious.

AKA Marlins.

Im not so sure on this Admin would have to correct me if i am wrong.

But the last time the ignore option came out, only Posts were blocked.

But anyhow Admin knows alot of PHP which is used to code that ignore feature, so he can make it work.

I think it'll block topics built in but that's just a guess.

It never came out. That was a user made modification and was subpar.

Thanks. ;)
