upstatenyfishfan
I dont know if anyone has brought this up but Conine has been playing some solid ball lately, and now is batting .309 and in his last 6 games is batting over .500. Has been a big contributer lately i think we can say his slump is over
bman8316
I had confidence in the Big Dog. I think all along the reason for his poor numbers, were because of the whole sinus infection. He is now 100% and hitting the ball like all of us know he can.

Prime Time
And people said Conine shouldn't have been givent he benefit of the doubt even though we know how he produces. Conine is a solid player and although his best ball is behind him, he still has a couple years left in him. See how noone is eating their crow about being wrong about Jeff. But watch, as soon as he goes 0-3 one night, everyone will be calling for his head and asking for Nunez to play.
AJBurnett34
Conine is putting great swings on the ball. He is hitting very good and solid linedrives. No cheapies.... I havent seen him as hot as he is now since 1997! Sea Bass is also batting very very good.

Wild Card
and?  didnt your boy Castro have the highest HR/AB ratio last year? Don't you worry about Ramon. He'll snap out of this real soon. Abe is having a great year in limited time so far. Why degrade his play?

Why degrade his play? when did i degrade his play?   i said he was overrated.    when did saying you were overrated = degrading their play.    many of you people called nunez the savior and have cried to have him in the lineup since spring.  hence since he has yet to even produce and extra base hit of any sort...  OMGNUNEZ = overrated. PBMarlin
I am as happy as anyone to see Conine really turn it around....he raised his BA about 150 points in a week.....totally possible this early in the season.....but still that is a nice accomplishment. Now everyone can relax a bit. ^^exhales^^

fanofthefish
That old dog will hunt. Amazing what Coors field can do for a supposedly slumping hitter. Gonzo and NIner got well soon there. Its a shame we don't go back there again this season.
Skully
I think everyone needs to realize that players have to prove themselves before earning a starting spot on a Major League lineup. The only way for Abe to do that right now is to excel as a bench player. He may not like it, but he's gonna have to perform. I'm sure everyone remember years past when we though we had other "saviors" (ie. Nigel Wilson, Darrel Whitmore, Todd Dunwoody, etc...) These guys were supposed to be great players and never lived up to their hype.
PBMarlin
Nunez who?  Amen! :notworthy Would like to see Nunez in a game in SF. Jack could give Cabs, Conine or Lowell (Cabs at 3rd) a rest to get him in there. It's going to be difficult to pull Conine out while he is hitting so well...and if that keeps up, then either Cabs or Lowell would be the first options.
