Some groups that are underrated and not exactly ones you must have but are worth a listen:

Starsailor

Dream Theater (imagine the Juliard School of Classical Music turning heavy metal rock)

Audiovent (the brothers of the memebers of Incubus)

I wanna get the new AIR cd ... they are so dreamy ... haha literally

man ... you all need to stop with the cd's ... making me go out and check out these bands and spend money

grrr

I could name thousands of "old" CDs. I rarely listen to the radio anymore because most of it sucks. Lately I find myself listening to OK Computer and The Bends by Radiohead a ton and GNR's greatest hits.

I also keep listening to the extra second disc on NIN's live album. I don't know the name, but I love the new arrangements on this album of some of the songs. "Something I Can Never Have," "The Fragile," "The Day the World Went Away," and "And All That Could Have Been" are amazing versions on the extra disk. The screming intro of "I could have been" about 4:20 minutes in is THE s***!!!!!!!!!

God, I F'N love NIN!!!!

Also, I can't wait for the Velvet Revolver album this coming week. I have great expectations for that album since Slash is my favorite guitarist of all time. :notworthy

Belle and Sebastian - The Boy with the Arab Strap

This one is pretty good, not as good as Sinister but that's basically a masterpiece. Those two are the only B & S albums worth a hoot in my opinion. Haven't heard the latest (Catastrophe Waitress something) but supposedly it's greatness. Whatev. Sinister trumps all.

detroitwhat22 beat me to 2 of em.

"Decoration Day" by Drive-By Truckers

"Farm Fresh Onions" by Robert Earl Keen

"Three Days" by Pat Green

"Is This It" by The Strokes

"The Deep End Vol. 1" by Government Mule

"Even In Darkness" by Dungeon Family

"Aquemini" by Outkast

that should suffice for now

Must haves:

Iggy Pop's Raw Power

Ramones 1st

Sex Pistols

Beethoven's 7th & 9th

BeBop Deluxe - Drastic Plastic

Beethoven's 5th is his best. The beginning is where hard rock originated, baby! :D

G. Love and Special Sauce-"Philadelphonic"

They Might Be Giants-the collection of the first two cd's (extra BRILLIANT stuff)

Shaq-"Shaq Diesel" :D
