Nope, we will need a 5th starter for 1 game (the 2nd one in Shea). Could be Oliver, Bump, or Wayne.

Id choose Wayne over Oliver and Bump.

What about Murphy? VERY intersting article, he may pitch that game. (Murphy pitched in the futures game and is in AA.)

Bump definitely pitches better when not in pressure situations. He is a ground ball pitcher who could be effective from the start of the game. I'd like to give him the chance to find out.

I'd choose Bump or wayne. Either will be fine but we need to get on a good offensive streak for them.

do we even know that he's going to be ready to make a start once he's off the DL? the stuff i've been reading has indicated that 15 days may not be enough, that he may be out of commission until August.

huh? Oliver wasn't replaced in the rotation until 2 months into the season. If you've pitched 2 months into the season and you have an ERA above 8 you don't deserve a 2nd chance. Bump is the obvious choice. He has pitched great since his return from AAA and he's a better starter than reliever. As much as I like Murphy, he isn't nearly ready for the big leagues.
