Finley will not come to East Coast

klesko is underachieving.....partly because the stadium in san diego is not a good fit with his swing

it has also become a mental thing for him... he THINKS he cant hit well in san diego....he has a lot more to give than what he has shown this year..

i really dont see the rangers trading Tex.

they may move him to the outfield....or they may end up moving him to DH, or using a 4 man rotation in the outfield ultimately.

They have a lot of good young hitters and some good ones in the minors. They basically have no good, young pitching. Penny is a Texas boy and might help them appeal to some locals.

You never know... :whistle

Penny is from Oklahoma.

Oklamhoma and Texas are two entirely different regions....and to say it would help appeal to locals is not exactly true. The Rangers are not having problems with attendance this year anyway...amazing what winning will do for you.

Damn, I stand corrected. I thought I read Penny and Beckett were from Texas. Oh well. Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, etc., all those midwest states are the same. :p

also, unless there's a buyout i'm not aware of, Klesko appears to be owed $16 million over the next two years.....

It's not a mental thing, HE CAN"T HIT IN SD and he hits even worse on the road.

umm, not thanks, if we're not gonna give that money to walker, why should we give it to this guy! :lol

klesko has decided that he cant hit homers in PETCO so he cant do anything there.

he has done decent up until this year.....

if you can get him cheaply...why not, i guess......and he gives you another left handed bat i guess....

Klesko to Florida???

and that swings gives me major chills ... when he gets a hold of one, he REALLY GETS a hold of one.

I've always been a Klesko fan ... and he could be the spark we need, I like him more than Finley and since Finley is basically putting up his best numbers ever the asking price is higher. Now Klesko and his weak numbers would make it easier to get him w/out giving up too much

I still prefer Walker but Klesko would be awesome ... weren't we after him last year?

:thumbup

I would rather have neither of them.

I'm not willing to trade prospects for someone who isnt even a clear upgrade to what were putting out in the field right now.

no thanks. :thumbdown

good news, i would much rather get Walker instead of Steve Finicky, and good to know the Phils won't get him. Admin Walker is the guy we need.

I love Klesko, I hope he is on his way

although he would be making $16mil total for 05 and 06

so maybe I dont love him

:plain

i cant see how klesko--a lefty--could possibly hit more HRs here.

plus, he's way overpaid for his production.

i really don't see how he could fit on this team.

Because PetCo makes the house that Robbie built look like a little league stadium out in right field. Here's some links to chew on:

Don't forget that the wall out in right at PetCo is rather high... Still feel the same?

You don't want Texiera. He's trouble in the making. Why do you think he might be on the block by the Rangers?
