Just announced, Burnitz to Dodgers for Minor Leaguers on Sportscenter.

Not yet offically announced by either team.

I know the Dodgers wanted to improve their horrible offense but is he really the guy to do it? Who did they give up? Thurston, Chen, Coyler? Any of these guys?

They haven't said about the details yet. It was an announcement ala the Everett Chicago deal, 11th hour and info just recieved.

The Dodgers will have to give up at least one Outfielder in this deal. Well at least when we play the Mets we should have an easier time winning . Not much offense on that team.

Burnitz's agent just confirmed the deal, hes already taken his picture in Dodger Blue.

Man Burnitz would've looked good in teal. I hate to see him go to the dodgers too because I think he's going to help them a lot.

The Dodgers also signed Rickey Henderson today.

The MSG Network (Official TV Home of the New York Mets) is reporting that they have confirmed a trade of Burnitz to The Dodgers for 3 prospects.

I think that this may effect other possible acquisitions of L-handed power hitters to our liking...I wonder what the Pirates wanted for Giles, because rumor has it the Dodgers were feenin' for him...

Diaz(the 2B) is a great hitter who has some problems defensively

 

The 2 pitchers throw gas but are projected as relievers.

Thats a good Trade. With Lo Duca not doing so well up to now and Shawn Green Slumping Badly Burnitz can help them out tremendously.

Well, Rickey is back!

I thought he was gonna end up signing with the Yanks.....I guess the Dodgers needed him after Roberts got hurt worse than the Yanks needed him.

i saw it on espn.

I don't think it was to a minor league deal so he should be playin in the majors this year.

Does anyone know how much and how long the contract is for?
