June 8, 200521 yr People always post topics regarding trades they'd like to see, but I want to know if anyone has heard about any possible trades the Marlins might be trying to make. I think we all know there are probably things happening behind the scenes because now is a good time to make changes. Has anyone heard or read anything?
June 8, 200521 yr Mota, Willingham and other unnamed minor league prospect for Ugi Urbina. Write it down! :thumbup
June 8, 200521 yr Mets picked up Graves, Phillies delt for Urbina...when are we going to go get some bullpen help...maybe even a bat?
June 8, 200521 yr Yeah, Id rather get a bat than bullpen right now. BTW, when is Alfonseca coming back? I wouldnt mind trading Encarnacion and/or Willingham while their stock is high.
June 8, 200521 yr not many names out there really... Jose Mesa might be available if the Pirates slip much lower. I'm not beating down the door though.

I think Mota is heading down as a setup man, or maybe out of the team. He is in McKeon's black list...

June 8, 200521 yr Their is some Bullpen help still out there, the Mariners will probably want to trade Hasegawa, who would be a nice pick up for anyteam, also the Giants might not be in it for longer and might want to get something in return for Jason Christenson or Scott Eyre. Tampa Bay always has Baez, and maybe the Brewers or Indians may look to deal, they both have some pretty nice arms in their bullpens. I have faith that Beinfest will come up with something. Go Fish!
June 9, 200521 yr Ryan Drese was designated for assignment today 801116 Was he the one that got pulled early against the Phillies? If so, nooo thankee
June 9, 200521 yr Ryan Drese was designated for assignment today 801116 Drese is flat out AWFUL- trust me. Ive seen hum pitch all year. Id rather start Nate Bump.
June 9, 200521 yr Yeah, Id rather get a bat than bullpen right now. 801015 Starting pitcher Bat Relief pitcher In that order as for their likely impact. Easiest for-the-sake-of-change move to make? Relief, bat, starter.
June 9, 200521 yr the yankees have a heavy Interest in Enc. Perhaps we can swindle Gordon from them? 802017 I'd be happy to get them to take his contract and get Duncan out of it, and let Willy/Conine play right.
June 9, 200521 yr Schmidt may be on the block, but he makes a lot of money, and he hasn't exactly been himself. Schmidt on Way Out?

June 9, 200521 yr I'd rather have Everyday Eddie over Lidge and he's probably easier to acquire. 802396 I don't know if either will be easy to acquire. You have to believe that it will cost Olsen and Bazardo at the least. We're not talking middle relief arms here, we're talking proven dominant closers.
June 9, 200521 yr Lets get Santana back somehow..he can replace Leiter.. 802021 We used to have Santana?
June 9, 200521 yr Lets get Santana back somehow..he can replace Leiter.. 802021 We used to have Santana? 802408 We rule V'd him off the Astros for the Twins, he was a Marlin for like 15 minutes.

He's leading the PCL in just about every offensive category, yet he's not on the big club while we struggle to score runs. If his own team doesn't value him, what good is he in trade? Besides, neither the Mariners nor the Astros have the need for a "non-prospect" because of his age. Yes, he likely will be involved in any major trade, but it's doubtful that he is the key to the trade.
