Baseball Sayings that you hate

I hate this phrase used in baseball chatter: "whatdaya say kid!"

He doesn't say a damn thing, he's up to bat.

Another one is this: "good eye". That may be so in the majors, but in Little League, "good eye" simply means "alright, you got lucky...you aren't going to swing the bat anyway, so maybe you can get a walk".

Most annoying home run call OF ALL TIME.

Yes! Pretty much anything Chris Berman says, including "...that one is out to (insert local town in state's name here)!" I want to beat him with what's left of his hair.

I hate anything that stupid P.O.S. Tim Mccarver says. He is an idiot for example: Tonight when Pudge let a pitch go by him, Tim says "The reason that usually happens is because the catcher is used to seeing the pitcher as a hitter and vice versa."! I didnt play much baseball in my day but i have no clue what friggin validity that statment has to the game. Did anyone else here that? Joe buck (who IMO is an idiot too) just sat there and there was silence in the booth for like five seconds. Tim said a few other things and at one point Joe just said to him that there was no respoonse warranted for his(tim's) comment and for him(tim) to just sit there with a glazed look on his face while he (Joe) talked.

Its Like Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dummer commentating for cracker jack prizes.

IMO.........Tim Mccarver

I hate it when a pitcher is said to throw gas. Does he really throw propane up there or something?

I also hate it when they say speed doesn't slump, apparently it does or baserunners wouldn't get nailed trying to steal.

I think JP is a pretty good example of the idea of speed slumping. Look at most of last season and this year up until the last few weeks...I'd say that's a speed slump.

Also about McCarver...do any of you guys remember when Fox had the Marlins last season and he said that Miguel was a "goooooood looking" young hitter? I still crack up about that one.
