Guest Moneyball
If this is true this confirms tome that Beinfest and Co. haven't done their homework lately.
Beinfest4Prez
As much as everyone hates the deal I like Arroyo a lot and feel he can do no worse than what AJ was doing. Mikey, I wish the best of luck to and thank you for being one of the best Marlins. I hope that these prospects are for another, bigger deal for a slugger. CapeFish
Get rid of Lowell's contract 860372 Yup, you could always turn around and make more deals. Take the money for Lowell and run.

Admin
Another problem with this trade. How will it affect attendance? I'd imagine Lowell and Burnett are still pretty popular. And this trade implies that the Fish are sellers. 860360 It certainly gives out that image to many people I'm sure.
PBMarlin
If this is true this confirms tome that Beinfest and Co. haven't done their homework lately. 860375 I doubt that is the case, which leads me to believe the deal was either reported wrong, or is just BS speculation. Ramp
Id rather have Alvarez and Arroyo for Burnett and Lowell Burroughs is crap, as is Shoppach
Fishfan79
Just watch. Mikey is going to get with a new hitting coach and is going to take off again. We are going to regret this trade at some point. If we trade Mike we need some real value for him. 860374 I agree with you. But, we are in the minority. Most folks are the what have you done for me lately type and lowell hasnt dont much (except pretty much steller defense). I will admit bias in any trade for mikey. But, I really dont get this one. If we are trading him away we do not need another 3B player. We need someone in the outfield and let Cabrera go there. Personally I rather have the draft picks/ real prospects. Take the money for Lowell and run. 860377 So basically this is a trade to unload a high priced guy that has been loved by Marlin fans. I guess I can understand it but I dont see how this really helps us this year at all. Trading Lowell after one bad half of a season could be a huge mistake. Ramp
if this is true, then we know Cabrera can no longer play 3b(or our front office believes so)
