Not sure who the manager is next year - but Cox has got to follow Jack to the pastures. I know that is not the main reason for our loss - but he has contributed to quite a few IMO.

It wasn't as if we were knocking the ball around with any regularity. LoDuca doesn't run well so it would take a solid single from him to do any damage. There was no problem sending the runner, especially considering Piazza is a below average defensive catcher, and in the exact same situation earlier in the year at Shea, he couldn't hold the ball.

September 22, 200520 yr Third base coach must be a thankless job. I do think Ozzie Guillen made a lot of tactiful errors, but sent more border-line calls home than he stopped. That confidence in his players' ability, plus his ability to communicate with a large span of the clubhouse, is what made him a good coach.
