2006 Slogan Contest - Finals

For those who wanted a 'comical one': have some damn respect for your team and this site when thinking of something to represent the board. Gees.

I have plenty of respect for this site, and for a few members of the team. Don't read voting for a comical slogan as having no respect. You have offended my honor, sir, and I challenge you to a duel!

In all seriousness, I don't think that was a fair comment.

Oh...and if Born Again wins, I'm thinking about changing my avatar to a photo of Jesus in a Marlins ballcap. This will probably touch off riots on an international scale, starting here, but quickly spreading to Denmark, and from Denmark to parts unknown...but whatever, I'm game.

Have you ever changed your avatar? I don't even think I'd recognize your posts.

Good point. I suppose I could just put it in my signature.

I abstain from voting. Neither choice is any good, it's the 2000 Election all over again.

No, because instead of having one Gore and one Bush, we have two Ross Perots.

True Fans Never Die.

Although I'm still partial to "It's A Message Board."

Born Again? Sounds like a bunch of "holy rollers"

What are Gary Gaetti and Chad Curtis coming out of retirement???

:thumbdown

i think we should do this thing over because honestly neither are any good.

i petition the higher powers for another nominating period....seriously

Write-in: Who the hell are these guys?

Don't take everything so literal.

Do you ever use the word "pray" when you're not literally praying? Of course you do.

Born Again is SUPPOSED to sound like that, it's the whole point. We're Marlins holy rollers. We're born-again Marlins fans. The team is starting over. Born again. Not Jesus born again, just baseball born again. I mean if you don't like it that's fine.

After a 2005 season that saw him knocked around with the Reds, released, picked up by the Mets and used sparingly, the 32-year-old Graves said he felt more like 44 when all was said and done.

But when the Indians -- the organization he was originally drafted by and grew up in -- signed him to a Minor League contract with an invitation to Spring Training last month, he said he felt 24 again.

"I'm a born-again baseball player," Graves said. "I feel like a kid again. I feel like a rookie."

There's what gave me the idea..

I should've just used "Marlins Reborn"... sigh...

I just don't get how someone can insult the slogans in the finals while at the same time support "Who the hell are these guys?" that would've embarassed the site and it's history.

well i did because it was the best out of the worst if you know what i mean....but they were all awful i just cant see any of them working... look, i understand if we dont want to redo it...it wont kill mme if one of those is the slogan but i think you should think about renominating you know a realkly short one the whole process take three days

Yeah these two corny ass nominees wouldn't have embarassed the site.
