April 13, 200620 yr I'm sure alot of people are still down on the kid and he certainly isn't the Luis Castillo were saw a two or three years ago, but he certainly has done enough to show the front office did the right thing picking him up in the Rule 5 draft. With more work with Perry Hill and Jim Presley the guy just might stick around a couple of years (as either a starter or reserve ballplayer).

April 14, 200620 yr Looks like batting 2nd agreed with him! Hitting in front of Cabrera he's going to see more pitches to hit. And he certainly did more with it in one game than Hermida has shown this year. Perhaps Joe should keep him there and move Hermida down in the order for a few games? It'll take the pressure off Hermida and could get him going.

But yeah, you're right. i don't expect much from amezaga....his career average is like .215-nuthin special.....i think he has a good glove though??....i don't see the point of playing him
