my god man we have blown so many games this year and i hate losing close games. i flipped out on my couch when i knkew that we would lose this game. this makes me sick especially with an off day tomorrow. there is no doubt that we have excellent talent but we need to put it togtehr becuase we are so close to winnign many of these games. also the loss of marintez who could be out for the season turns my stomach

yea its tough, prolly the toughest part for me though is the fact that we do have the day off tomorrow and i really want to see them play. the PEN needs to sharpen up more in the late innings

This really isn't a bad team. It does break your heart though (of course not nearly as bad as the 2004-2005 Marlins).

I agree. I don't think this team is bad. They just have to work on the walks. Simple as that. When we start learning that things will start to get better.

im officially a yankees fan now....

j/k of course

That's the point I was trying to make when I said I like the offense this year (talking about the holly's post). At least this year you know those guys are gonna bust their humps because they want to stay in the bigs. Their defense and the other little things will come around I think. I like the team and can't wait to see them when they get back in Miami.

The team is suffering young-player losses. Bonehead running plays and fielding errors at key moments. That, and the bullpen stinks.

"It's embarrassing," said manager Joe Girardi, so upset that he called his second postgame meeting in three days. "We can't keep making mistakes. Seventeen days in, we can't keep making mistakes."

This tells me they've absolutely sucked on the defensive side of the ball all year, and I haven't seen any games.

Oh well, I'll go see em a few times in the summer but I expect this to be a long season, no way in hell we win more than 62.

those games are the type of games that their going to be able to hold down in about 3 months

they're young, they're adjusting

if it's still happenning in september, yes, i'll be worried

The guys still seem to play with the jitters in close situations.

And Girardi is still sending out his supposed vets to hold the leads.

At some point everyone will settle down, and the guys who can step up and the end of the game will be sorted out. That point may still be a few months aways.

I said it when the trade was made and I'll say it again- Todd Wellemeyer is worse than nate Bump.

Wellemeyer is a mere shell of a major league pitcher. His stuff is flat.

Im in no way a part of Bump Nation but the fact that he isnt on our team right now is THE most shocking thing about the Marlins right now.
